That looks like a very long road. Thank you for all the history and your own memories 💐

Bringing back old memories as i use to live very close to Waterloo Road. Thanks for a great video.

Crikey Jane...summer season in full swing

Hi Jane, another interesting vlog 🙂
btw, Blackpool South station is the terminus of the South Fylde line. Trains from there go via Pleasure Beach, Squires Gate, St Annes etc on to Preston (and sometimes further on to Colne)

Lots of really interesting information in this vlog. I always look above the ground floor to enjoy whatever gems I can find as I walk around. Sadly looking up a little while ago resulted in lots of fractures and breakages to my fragile old bones so now I stop still and look up :-)
The shop and collector's paradise at the front of Waterloo Road contains an interesting museum, a really successful collaboration of several commercial interests and well worth exploring.
To lose a lot of the small independent retail shops is a sad blow plus the huge gaps left by Hartes and the shopping arcade is devastating. I was most interested to learn the history of the erstwhile market, thank you!
I was told at one time that the blue building just over the brow of the railway bridge was a large public convenience which narrowly escaped demolition, That may be an urban myth of course.

Anyone remember the Napoleon Club on Waterloo Rd in the sixties and early seventies?

I never realised Bond st. was so close to Waterloo rd, I’d always wanted to visit mrs Johnson’s emporium but didn’t know it’s whereabouts, I never got around to it cos I had the mentality of “I’ll go next time I’m on holiday” procrastination is my enemy 🫣 sadly it’s closed now as you probably know. Also didn’t realise Blackpool south train station was so close as well. A very interesting and informative walk round. Thanks Jane xx

If possible could u please do a shout out for Hazel and Fiona watch all the time thanks

Always remember going to Blackpool on the good old coach. All the coaches lined up and dropped off. Then back on at o'clock 7 o'clock back home. Them were the days. But we are always going now car or train. Good walk around.
