ppl calling it fake drive me crazy. it’s fixed and written out but those stunts are very real. they get hurt all the time

@BlazeBuds 1 year ago

I can see why Jericho got so upset. He was great friends with Benoit and was 1 of the only ones who understood at the time that this could happen to any of them

@markwalsh3124 2 years ago

Thank you Chris Nowinski for all your hard work into concussion related injuries... The world could use more people like you...

@TheDerbon 2 years ago

I had one really bad concussion with hearing loss, vision problems, speech problems and very, very bad headaches. It was just awful. I can't even begin to imagine how bad you feel after hundreds of them.

@wutwuthaphazard 2 years ago

I want to be entertained by them but I want these people to be always safe as well.

It's crazy that Maven is that messed up when he wasnt even in wrestling all that long. He also never started out on the indies or any of that. If its that bad for him, imagine what its like for others.

unique how this video delves into the real dangers of cte instead of just benoit.

@HardcoreHapkido1124 2 years ago

At one point, I wanted to be a professional wrestler, however after things like this happening, and the concussions, I backed out of it

I wish more people are aware of this.

I thought ever since Benoit, this sort of problem would have had a sharp decline. And maybe it reduced, but this was an eye opener just how bad the problem still is 😔

A man that did a flying headbutt as a finisher was doomed to have brain damage...tragic story.

Chris Benoit is one of the best wrestlers in the history of Smackdown! His matches against Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T, etc are some of my favorites on the blue brand.

Thank you, Chris. I have had 11 concussions myself and have been dealing with the aftermath they caused for years. Headaches, passing out, tremors, and sensitivity to light. My last concussion left me with PCS for 8 months. I hope more doctors bring greater attention to what concussions can actually do to a person.

OMG, I remember EXACTLY where I was when I heard about Chris Benoit...

I was on a Greyhound bus traveling from Atlanta to New Jersey, and my younger brother called me on my cell phone.
(Both of us being HUGE WWE fans)
I was so shocked by the news that I forgot where I was and I shrieked,

"Chris Benoit did WHAT?!!"

I alarmed a couple of sleeping passengers, so I apologized profusely to them, but then a voice from the back of the bus asked,

"What about Chris Benoit.. ?"

I knew I had to respond to them, so I apologized to the sleeping people again and said in a loud voice, "My brother is on the phone right now, and he just told me that Chris Benoit killed his wife, killed his child and then killed himself!"

The guy in the back mumbled something to his friend, and then I heard them say, "Holy sh!t, this is REAL!"
They must have had "Blackberries"or something, because I couldn't pull up anything on my cell phone back then!

I remember feeling this horrible pain in my stomach; Just from the shock of it.
I can hardly describe it.
It's like, the shock manifested into a physical pain in my stomach.

My heart just broke for him, his wife, and his son!
I mean, what do you do with that?!

@MaimonBenAvraham 10 months ago

My cousin who used to be in the WWE in the 90s till the early 2000s told me how much it took a toll on his body... When I heard of this news back then, I told him he did well to get out of it before he was going to be in worse shape 😢. Benoit's passing made me second-guess going to wrestling when I was in my early 20s back then.

This was a great video! Instead of just concentrating on Chris Benoit and his tragic end, it talks about head injuries all through the wrestling world!

Bro said he can’t remember simple words like “table” and “glass”.. man that’s extremely scary when you think about it. Your brain is pretty much gone at that point

@InoculatedOasis 1 year ago

The I Quit match between The Rock and Mick Foley is one of the craziest things to watch knowing what we do now about concussions. Mick took a TON of straight chair shots to the head, it’s a crazy watch
