After losing his business, his career, and everything he once worked for, Dang Tu returns to his hometown with only a suitcase and the determination to start over.

Far away from the busy city, he begins rebuilding his life in the peaceful Vietnamese countryside. Every day is a new challenge—repairing old houses, building a simple home, growing food, harvesting crops, cooking with local ingredients, and creating a meaningful new beginning through hard work.

Along the way, Dang Tu meets people who have been forgotten by society—lonely elderly people, abandoned homes, struggling families, and those suffering from illness or poverty. Even after losing everything himself, he continues to help others with kindness and compassion.

In this episode, Dang Tu meets an elderly woman suffering from Hepatitis B who has been rejected because of her illness. Living in a small temporary shelter with her young granddaughter, she has almost lost hope. Although Dang Tu has just gone bankrupt and has very little money left, he chooses to stop, listen, comfort her, and promises that one day he will return to help her.

This is more than a story about rebuilding a life...

It's a journey of resilience, compassion, second chances, and hope.

Today, an elderly woman's daughter-in-law came to see me to ask for help. I genuinely want to assist the elderly lady, but I also want to have a frank conversation with the daughter-in-law. I want to encourage her—since she is young and capable of working—to strive to earn a living, take more initiative in her life, and be more responsible in caring for her children.

The elderly lady is getting on in years; I believe she deserves some rest and a life of her own.

I remember Grandma sleeping on the side of the road. No family helping her, or caring what happens to her. Now family shows up and demands money from her! Hope she never gives her anymore money!

Grandma, you were not the only solution, you were the easy solution. Her hollowing at you was very disrespectful! She also is using your granddaughter to take money from you. Put your foot down. . .that is your son’s responsibility! While Dang is caring for you, what little money you have, should be for you, so that your life remains nice and in a healthy environment!!

Im 77 and ive learned the bad are really bad and the good are special and should never have disrespect thrown at them at any age ,i hope you can help dang ,you have been hurt at a young age ,grandma doesnt deserve anyone speaking badly to her or stealing her money ,i pray she wont be allowed back ❤❤❤

Qué abuso, la anciana no debería darle dinero y muchísimas menos pedirtelo a ti. Es una mujer joven y sana, qué trabaje y asuma su responsabilidad, lo mismo que el padre de la niña. No tiene vergüenza

I pity grandma for this daughter in law doing now that they see her almost in good health and here she comes askingfor money what a shame when she was sick they just left her in her shanty now that their is a good samaritan who took her to that shanty and took care of her here they come asking for money you daughter in law be ashamed of your self look for work do not ask grandma money shame on you.i hate this kind of people taking advantage of grandma
Grandma take care of yourself and never give a single cent to your bad daughter in law she's taking abvantage of you never let them stood down on you.

For dang to rescue grandma is not what most young people would ever do ,dang dont let her family or anyone hurt her ,shes special ,they never cared and dont care now ,horrible ,her health has improved ,she eats way better ,works ,earns money and smiles again , they will cause her stress or worse ,dont let them ,shes our grandma also ❤❤❤

Greetings from CT USA. I think Grandma daughter in law should work and pay for her own child's schooling. How dare ask Grandma for money. They left her there alone in that old shack and now they want help. Screw them all.
