Miyazaki looking at Bilewater, poison tears in his eyes,"I raised that swamp".

@tyomega9939 11 months ago

5 years of development out of the 7 was playtesting to make sure Bilewater was as awful and dogshit as it could be for everyone that got there

What's more impressive than Pat's clown makeup game is that he's not wearing a wig, he just regrew all his hair for the bit.

Understandable title have a nice day.

Team Cherry knew they could make anything so they decided to make a fucking problem

All my homies hate Bilewater

Bilewater is what people thought Caelid was

The Bilewater Bench is the most powerful middlefinger/punchline in the game. It's hidden, only halves an incomprehensibly long runback into "merely" a nightmare, and directly next to it is a sign that reads the in universe equivalent of "Stay Mad."

I laughed so hard I cried... Or vice versa. I couldn't tell you which order at that point.

Proud to be in the small minority of players that didn't know Bilewater existed until I already found Petrified Docks and grabbed the maggot immunity tool.

Team Cherry wants to work with Fromsoft in the future, so they made bilewater specifically to appeal to Miyazaki

The Bilewater runback is super brutal.

Shakra saved my ass during the High Halls gauntlet and it was seriously one of the best moments of my playthrough. She is truly a beast

Bilewater is such a massive “fuck you” level if I’ve ever seen one. The fact you have to visit it multiple times for the full experience is diabolical and shows Team Cherry knew people would hate it.

I got really lucky that Bilewater was the last zone I found. By that point I had at least 2 tools that helped with the area immensely. Beat Groal in one go with 1 health remaining. Checked the map afterwards and realized what I just narrowly avoided.

Metroid: “Oh, this area is too hot/cold, I probably shouldn’t be here yet”
Silksong: “Oh, this area is too cold/has maggotty water/endless all consuming void, guess I gotta brute force my way through it to get the item that I need to traverse it”

Clownworld really is coming from inside Pat's house

We are born of the swamp, made men by the swamp, undone by the swamp.
Beware Grandma Swamp.

@josenick 11 months ago

I am convinced they kidnapped Miyasaki to make Bilewater.

@peridrawland5955 11 months ago

We got SO lucky that the bile mosquitoes (triple projectile) only spawn in Putrified Ducts

@TaurusVersant 11 months ago

my solution to groal was to recognise how bad it sucked, say "this is a later me's problem" and then come back with an amount of new power that made it a lot easier to push through. You would be surprised how much of silksong was made easier by employing this one simple trick
