In this 44 Unbound travel video, we spend one day in Grenada during a cruise stop and take an island tour with Campbell, a local driver who showed us more than just the usual port-area experience.

From the cruise port in St. George's, we visited View Top Spice Shop, walked through the lush Annandale Waterfalls & Forest Park, stopped near Richmond Hill Prison for one of the best views over the island, and spent time at Grand Anse Beach, where the beach setting connects closely to the local community around it.

This Grenada cruise excursion also included a drive through Sendall Tunnel and a walk through downtown St. George's outside the polished cruise port area. Along the way, the video looks at what it feels like to experience Grenada beyond the ship: spices, rainforest, beach, local streets, vendors, and the everyday rhythm of the island.

This is why I believe in leaving the ship.

Grenada gave us spices, rainforest, local streets, Grand Anse Beach, and one of the best views of the island — all with Campbell showing us around. If you’re planning a Grenada cruise stop, I added a few helpful tour and trip-planning links in the description.

We have been to Grenada 2 times and are saving up to go next year for my birthday and show it to our daughter, the best place in the world. Going there for a couple of days from a cruise ship only gives you a flavour, stay longer, get to know the lovely people. Brave the local busses. Slow down, chat. We heard pans being played and were invited in to our own private “concert”. The people are the best

Grenadian hospitality. You should be thankful. A country being impoverished by USA and europe.but we hold our heads up until America esp, destroys us the way they did with Cuba , Haiti, Venezuela etc.

Dont be fooled..Grenada under belly is a cult culture..most are deceitful and spiteful from my experience..most of them encourage wrong doing..so don't be fooled!
