This game saved my life. When I didn’t want to exist in this world anymore I went to this one and it held me long enough until I was able to get better. It was months and months of walking and wandering in the Skyrim woods, and I was actually paying attention to the calendar in game rather than real life. Now I work on video games, and I’m mentally healthier. I hope one day I can make something that can create even a fraction of the peace I feel when I boot this game up.

Since the first day I played this game I've been through 4 relationships, 1 pandemic, 1 dog, 14 tropical fish, 2 apartments, 2 cars, 3 jobs, 3 consoles and 5 controllers. Skyrim has been my rock.

Hiraeth is a Welsh word describing a profound, untranslatable longing, homesickness, or yearning for a home, place, or time that perhaps never existed or can no longer be returned to

I’m 67 and I love Skyrim music! I remember playing it with it my grandson on his XBox.. . Fun times… I miss when he was younger… stay away from fentanyl, whatever you do.

“A Nord’s last thoughts, should be of home…”
This is what home sounds like for me.

I'm introducing my 3 day old new born son to the best music in video game history. He's loving it

I been playing skyrim and elder scrolls for over 5 years and fallout. Both are my all time favourite game series. When I'm overwhelmed by life, my autism and anxiety, I just escape into Skyrim and all my little worries don't matter. I hop on the couch, grab my favourite blanket, put my ear phones in, cuddle beside my cat in her spinny chair and just escape into the fantasy world. My cat loves watching me play when she drifts in and out from her cozy naps and cleaning herself. As long as I have Bethesda games, my cat and my family, life is great and worth all the hard ships every day.

Even tho I was in a toxic relationship with a bad past of addiction, Video games and crochet have saved my life honestly. I'm greatful my ex boyfriend introduced me to these games, even tho he used to get frustrated trying to explain stuff to me about the game as we both have autism, he has adhd and I possibly have adhd and do have anxiety but we are complete sensory opposites. He likes lights, loud music and is very social and feminine. I'm masculine/tomboy-ish, quiet, introverted, like to keep to myself and HATE bright lights and super loud music even tho I love listening to music every day.

"Hey you, you're finally awake!"
The most iconic reference ever..

This right here is something very important to me. I was younger when my father introduced me to Skyrim, maybe 6 or 7, and we had a good relationship then.

He was there with me on my first playthrough of the game, and these tracks remind me of the things I felt during those times. The way the controller felt in my hands, the feeling of the old couch in the basement of his girlfriend's parent's house, the cold linoleum floor; everything about it was amazing, and now that I'm almost 18, I still play this game.

I've had so many saves, so many characters throughout the years but I'd always drift away from the game. Until now. My love for this game is absolutely unmatched, there's no other games that even come close to Skyrim. These tracks are part of me, and I'm always going to love them, even if my father and I haven't spoken in years.

Thank you, hypothetical reader. Please, enjoy the rest of this video with me; Fight, or die well.

If you want the world around you to disappear for awhile. just play Skyrim… get some rest my fellow dragonborn

Every day I yearned for endless adventures and magic and when I played Skyrim it was like I found my home I played this game for hours on end and when I went to sleep at night I would dream of the skies above tamriel

I would sit outside on my patio with the cold air and have this music play in my headset as I smoke a Cigar and Drink a small glass of Whiskey. It’s perfection in my mind this music. Skyrim isn’t just a game to me it’s moment where everything is peaceful. Sometimes I even play this music for my daughters to sleep too.

I would sell my soul to be able to play this game for the first time again

i don't know what my life would be without skyrim and its music

Listening to this with my newborn baby. It’s helping him sleep. Fantastic game and soundtrack

Over a decade later this game will always hold a special place in my heart.

Sitting by a window with only natural light while watching the rain in the mountains of Tennessee while reading to this music.....is this heaven?

This music makes me cry and think about my mother who passed away last year 😭

I listen to it almost every night. Skyrim,  is a masterpiece

I'll be finishing 6 years of college next year. This soundtrack has been a staple of every single time I was studying since high school. Every time, countless hours. It got me through every subject and each exam and I know it will get me through everything in the future
