The only thing dark about the song is what the song is fighting against, the crimes and evils of war.

Bill Ward is my all time favorite drummer.... just soo good... other drummers can play the songs but they never feel right...

Bill Ward is a beast on those drums!

Still relevant today. We got to see them twice in the early 70's.

Live is great if you were there, they worked hard on their studio recordings to create the best musical experience. Their music makes you think and imagine. This version still has some lyrics from when it was called "Walpurgis", they changed it a little before they recorded it. I really hope you go to the beginning, "Black Sabbath", the band, the album, the song. These guys started out great, then got better. The first three albums are the pinnacle. This is a rabbit hole for sure, but you won't regret going down it. I'll be watching you enjoy the trip. Thanks for the great reaction.

Yes, awesome!!! Sabbath rocks, that's Bill Ward on drums and the legend Ozzy Osbourne lead vocals. Geezer Butler is the bassist and Tony Iommi is an incredible guitarist. Actually has the tips of his two middle fingers on his right hand missing. They got cut off in a factory accident when he was younger I believe. And please take your time and don't get burnt out. You've set an insane pace for yourself, you're wonderful 😊😊😊

Their first song is "Black Sabbath" on their first album Black Sabbath. It's actually about a nightmare Geezer Butler, the lyricist and bassist experienced. It starts out like an old Horror film, a little slow, dark, heavy and doomy but about halfway through it starts rocking. Thanks for the great reaction.
I also hope you listen to the studio version of War Pig's, it's got a different vibe.

Bill ward beats bonham for ferocity. When Bill passes every drum kit in the world will breath a sigh of relief

Nothing much better than the original Black Sabbath my dear, they were setting a standard for heavy music from the start. You should see this song live 4 years later at the California Jam 1974 before 250,000 fans. Here the first album when you can and enjoy! 🤘
