I hate that they cut the rest of Kobe's part off. Right after that he looks at the crowd and he goes wait who here has seen Bird play.... looks into the crowd and goes "OH that's not enough hands we've got homework to do" Kobe respected those who came before him.... PS. Welcome to the Bird Gang 💚

Hey young fella, I am so glad you reacted to this video, thank you. What I am so impressed by with you compared to other reaction videos is, you don't talk over the video and miss important things. So many, in fact almost all of the reaction videos I've watched, they will react to something and laugh, but but then they miss what was said three seconds after and then they just keep going on. They don't get the full meaning of of the stories. I was very impressed to hear you pause it and apologize but then proceed to tell us why you're pausing it. Keep up the good work, you are in for such a treat.

Always seeing comments that Larry Bird not all that athletic....but the court full of "athletes" and he running the game. Always be my favorite!

Larry's trash talking was more sarcastic, witty & came across overconfident, to those who didn't know his play, but he wasn't disrespectful, which garnered him the respect he got, plus, backing it up, didn't hurt either 😊

One thing I loved about the NBA back then was the rivalries. Players weren't looking to become part of "Super Teams", become friends on the court, or promote their brands. They wanted to knock you off your pedestal and step on your neck if need be. It resulted in some fantastic games.

You should react to 5 Times Larry Bird was Injured but REFUSED to Quit whenever you get the chance. It brings a whole new perspective of him putting his body on the line for the sport.

Great reaction. You are one of the very few reactors that actually listened to the video instead of talking through the funny parts. GREAT job!

When you watch courtship of rivals… you will understand why us old head, Laker fans, love Larry Bird.
My respect for him goes beyond the game basketball.
AND
You’ll understand how THEY
Saved the NBA .👍

Getting to see 80s basketball was something special. I don't think we'll ever see anything like it ever again. Players wanted to elevate their teams to beat other teams, not be traded to other teams to win championships. There was more heart and soul than ever before and since in the 80s and 90s, and Larry Bird was the North Star.
And honestly, the only thing that really irritates me is that we couldn't watch the 80s mastery of these guys on the court in the same clarity that we can watch today's games. If we had gotten to see greatness like that with today's technology, it would have been perfection.

I can honestly say that, being a Laker/Magic/Kareem fan, and having watched every Laker/Celts matchup in the '80s and '90s, if I had known that he was trash-talking like that, I would have hated him even more.
I'm glad I didn't find out till the sting went away. These stories are one of a kind, just like Larry Legend. He IS the GOAT, imo.

Magic and Bird did not like each other for the longest time. It took a commercial they did together at Bird's place in Indiana that changed their relationship. Great reaction!

Bird would psychologically and physically destroy teams, including their coaching staff. The dude was insane bro.

Its very hard to watch Bird with an open mind and him not become your favorite player. No one had a mindset like him, maybe Jordan. But that line Bird says "I get a charge when I tell someone on the opposing team that I'm gonna hit the last second shot and then do it. Thats what its all about." That line right there shows you his mindset. He gets a charge for making you feel like you dont even belong in the league. No animosity, just domination. Real tough not to love that.

Larry has said on several occasions: "The black man is the best athlete in the world and I always want to play against the best."

As a Teen, my cousin and I would hoop together all the time. He was a Dr. J Fan and I was a Bird fan. Once we actually threw hands over who was better. Bird won 😂😂😂
