Every time I think "I should play Rivals," Ravs uploads and reminds me why I should stick to being employed😥

The problem is also TTK without healing, some hero's kits are so insane that you almost cant play against it. Aka black cat or BP/spiderman insta kill combo or even wolverine vs tanks. Tackling the support problem will 10000% make most matches impossible to play. A wider game wide balance is neccesary before you can even properly tackle the support problem without breaking the game. Lest you want 0 supports in your team

The main problem is the damage that supports put out. Luna, ultron, gambit, invis, mantis legit do the same kind of damage as most dps. Like I wouldn’t have a problem with triple support if I could actually fight them as magik. But most of the supports in the game can legit beat me in a 1v1, and now there’s 3 of them on 1 team. Like nerf the damage of supports then triple support becomes a fair comp, and it also forces more team play because to rank up you’ll actually have to help your supports since they can’t just defend themselves against every threat anymore

I’d say give Mantis, Adam and Ultron (and other triple support merchants) buffs when played in a double support comp and nerfs when played in a triple support comp. Not all triple support comps are viable because these specific heroes enable it. The buffs would disappear of course when a third support is present and the nerfs would then take place.

something not mentioned is that the reason role queue was even a solution was due to poor balance.

GOATS was problematic, but what was more problematic was the old-overwatch devs balance philosophy that further enabled it in play, simply spoken; they could not figure out how to fix GOATS, and gave up, giving us role queue.

role queue is a NUCLEAR OPTION, and end all-be all, and SHOULD NOT be done under any circumstance, because GOATS is an entirely avoidable meta if the game is balanced, rivals is simply treading the same ground as overwatch in regards to having a balance philosophy that does nothing to address the real, genuine problem with the 3-strat meta.

I play in high middle ranks and triple sup rarely problem or even played. But if it has to be fixed because super high elo players have problem with that, it would be fine for me. I just hope they never add role que to fix that, role que ruined overwatch back in the day, ecspesially que times, they went up for everyone, but dps role was by far the worst, in my elo in ow, you qued under 2min for tank, usually under 5-10min for support and dps que was always atleast 15min sometimes 30min. So role que made overwatch kinda unplayable.

what if we just gut support ults more that means longer neutral fights

yesterday i had a match with only dive players and 8 in a row of only triple DPS, solo tank and 2 healers.....this triple support shit is a psy-op

just looking at the way ywl plays, proves to me that the devs cooked with the game and teamup abilities and over all everything in the game
these guys have ran full dive/brawl hybrid everytime theyve played.
imo it looks like a genuine skill issue. people like running dive without knowing how to dive. they're expecting to go in solo and delete everybody with the the hundreds of hours of time they've spent in practice against bots.
dive is waayyy harder than any other comp only when you do it solo.

9:16 make supports with insane neutrals have abysmal ults comparable to like jeff ult or sqg ult lvl bad or js nerf their neutral

Why not just run Triple Tank, that counters Triple Support.

bucke is not a hitscan hero

I never see it😮😮😮😮

I honestly think supports should have not have all 3 of everything like take Jubilee for example she has high healing and mid pressure with her ball explode but she has the draw back of having mid-high cd and if she doesn't manage her cd correctly then she very vulnerable to dive and has mid - low movement to run but then take someone like luna mid aoe healing (her clap) and thats it she gets a stun she has great movement and high damage her only draw back is aim and timing thats not really fair. Supports should be good at somethings and bad at other things because you can't do it all. triple support should should be like teamwork where we all have are roles like say i run triple dps we could have 2 dives for backline pressure and 1 poke or brawl dps for peels or frontline pressure. (Let me know if this a bad take)

i wish rivals implemented some sort of per comp list of nerfs if they don't want to add role queue, like what if there was a healing reduction and support ult charge reduction if necessary, when running triple support (the reduction would make it so that triple support has the same output of healing and support ults as double support), or triple tank having a damage vulnerability for tanks, this would pretty much solve these comps being unfun to play against because it would feel no different or very similar to playing against 2-2-2

Here's the thing

Get rid of this concept of the "dps strategist." Dont mind if support has moderate burst potential, but in this game strategists are all handled as healers first, giving the "HEALERS" kits that can out class a dps in terms of damage output is peak brain dead game design.

They need to buff movement. The game is a stall or stalemate because every position is either 'instant death' or 'immortality'
Only the fastest divers have enough resources to really move in and out of the kill zones and safe zones while still being able to actually interact.
Compared to games like LOL or overwatch, the healing and damage is SO MUCH STRONGER, but the movement is really about the same, besides a few fast divers.

like it or not this game desperately need role q. I was against it one time, but seeing how players refuse to swap/fill/adapt for 3 supps slaves and threw winnable games, having role q might save everyone's in-game time and fun. Do you think most of us who care mind role q? Heck no, you're delusional if you do. Those who are against it all the time are mostly DPS players. I've solo tank more than having another tank. Either they went 3 dps or 3 supps--rarely 2 2 2.

My issue with triple support is the problem was solved than the devs in their wise decision decided to undo the ult charge nerf.  Honestly? Just put it back or we are going to have to go down the painful road of "anti-heal".
