I'm in Florida. I have a home too large for me and my mom. It's more for a family with kids. Hoping to list come January as the holidays aren't when people here are shopping for a house. No other homes are for sale in my neighborhood now, so I have hope it will go for my price. Made large updates and painting to justify my price. The state has property taxes on the ballot and I am very sure that's why people are waiting too. We need it to pass and raise the homestead numbers from 50k to 150k then to 250k later. Love your shows as I've cleaned and tossed the right things getting ready.

The starter homes are priced at $300,000 and above , most listings I see are starter homes priced to high

Taxes , insurance, HOA fees and price will keep these homes on the market,

forclosures at auctions are a better look when looking for a home

They better drop those property taxes they increased recently where I live. They insisted the houeses all increased by ridiculous amounts, but never even came to look at the houses.

Seniors in Florida are forced to leave now due to being on a fixed income and taxes and HOA doubling and insurance trippling. They thought they were set for life, so it is an unexpected shock that their nest eggs are depleted. If you have relatives who are elderly, check in on them because they might have too much pride to ask for help.
