I got to attend the T.A.M.I show. I was 16 and went with my BFF. She's still my BFF after all these years. We also saw the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl in 1965.
Shown this by my Great-grandson and says nanna are you one of the dancers ...yes sure...wow that was over 60 years ago...I can still do the steps but not as fast...🤣😁
One of the greatest concert films of all time. Grateful that Dean Torrence, who hosted it with his pal Jan Berry (RIP), is still with us 60+ years later.
It's so great to see James Brown sing "Please, Please, Please" during his youthful heyday. As the years passed it became hackneyed and old-fashioned, but in my opinion the theatrics around it make it one of the great live performance concepts of the 20th century. It obviously brought down the house.
I worked as an usher at the Paramount Theatre in Wilkes-Barre, PA when this came out and was lucky to see it everyday while it was featured, a great show, there is a colorized version of the entire show on you tube that is amazing, thanks for posting this classic rock show, much appreciated!!
