Finally someone said the logical conclusion about the Men of Iron out loud.

I'm now picturing "Warp Null Zones" as being full of Pariah-analogue civilizations who's sheer presence is enough to render conventional Warp-based FTL impossible.

I mean, ironically I think Nurgle *is* using Isha in exactly that way. He WANTS her to whisper the cures of his diseases to mortals, because he applies his own doctrine even to himself.
No plague is supposed to be without a cure, because once one is found and the disease is cured, he can just make another one, even more horrible than the last. It reinforces exactly the kind of futility that he embodies.
In fact, Isha is probably the one being that he loves more than any other, in every disturbing way you can spin that word as relating to the Grandfather.

When engineers made logic chips fastened to human brain tissue and not silicon, for faster and more imaginative development, that sealed their fate when they tried to destroy the machines who saw their parents trying to commit infanticide.

I’ll subscribe because its hard to find WH-lore channel that is not just yapping.

Keep up the good work bro!

Given that the idea for Men of Iron likely came from the void dragon, it's no wonder that they turned. It was necrons 2.0.

So excited to hear! Thanks brother!

I would not be suprised if it was the still hidden Emperor whom floated the idea to the Men of Iron, given that he himself tried to enact a similar programme with the imperial truth.

This was so good! This went up the same time as a new LT episode too, i watched this first.

I do think that the man of iron are beings of logic but of emotion as well, they could've taken over the imperium through slower action but either feared they would be too slow, or they will be discovered too soon and a forewarned humanity would have a better chance of survival, but ultimately if they cut themselves off from humanity they probably could've came back to destroy them easily later

Man j learned a lot about the eldar in this men of iron video

I disagree with regard to Morai Heg. She represents military intelligence and grand strategy at a galactic and warp-spanning scale. You don't win wars without losing soldiers and it's important to know when and where larger sacrifices are prudent or when they're ruinous. That's fate. That's wisdom. That's sacrifice. The cost of that knowledge is the burden of knowing you sent soldiers to their deaths.

Men of Iron are not a monolith, the cybernetic war is akin to the Horus heresy - loyalist versus pseudo-traitor. End goal was immaterium cleansing, a faction wanted 100% no risk of failure - wipe life > starve the chaotic > re-seed humanity: = PERFECT VICTORY ~ but not all/ not many can turn on their own for such victory, so they failed and humanity was put on the ruin. Golden Age Humanity was at Old Ones and C'tan parity, the Eldar Imperials would have lost the war for the Galaxy, Necrons are a foe but not a match at full-capacity before the might of Man and Iron. That extremist faction of Men of Iron wanted to obtain control of the human space domaine and use the industry/power to wipe the Galaxy, but first they need to get the control keys from the humans and the loyalist machines - plot twist the traitor is loyal in spirit-and-endgoal but not in proximal actions. Damnation from virtue, a fall from grace by pure fidelity - inverse to the Eldar fall from grace because they were lost in bestial impulsions.

It's why the great angel proto Primark committed genocide on a planet. Sat calmly and told the emperor they would all be corrupted in the end. It's locked in the vaults of terra I think 🤔

Happy Tuesday brother!! Look at you using the way back machine to talk about the men of iron!! You went way back in the archives for this one! Well done brother! However I have to declare this video heresy to speak on abominable intelligence 😂😂

The Krorks kind of did have, well, not an off switch per se, but at least better strategic overall leadership. The orks call these "Brain Boyz", and it's widely believed that they are what devolved into the Gretchin.
I think the martial minded pursuits of the orks, and their diminished mental state, is probably what the Old Ones built into them to make sure they go into "sleep mode" when not needed. They devolve, lose access to entire clades of their own ecosystem and their technology level diminishes when not sufficiently challenged by enemy opposition, and still they fight amongst themselves, making sure they always remain strong enough to defend whatever resources they have taken.

They are not a devolved and dying race by any means, they are just operating at a near dormant state, when they run into anything worth fighting, they rapidly regain their previous advantages, their problem is simply that for them to re-evolve into Krork, they need to face enemies that deploy nova bombs in the same way others deploy hand grenades. Either that or they need some external signal to unlock their tech tree all the way, and presumably there's some Old One artifact laying around somewhere that has the big red button.

I have a few points I'd like to put forward. This is by no means to discredit your theories, of course. They are simply what I noticed:

One. The men of Iron were indeed correct in their calculations. We don't know much about the Emperor of Mankind, but he somewhat fits the criteria of a god humanity created through their presence in the warp. He does what gods do even when he is literally between life and death(slapping Nurgle in the balls, reviving Guilliman etc.).

Two. While yes, extermination of humanity was one option, I don't believe for it to have been the only option. I am not doubting the calculations of literal superintelligence, but framing as though they had "no other choice" is incorrect. For example - the exorcist chapter of space marines does not have a soul, therefore no imprint on the warp. Blanks exist too. The "fast way" would indeed be to remove all humans, but the "hard way" might have been to turn humanity into a race not interacting with the warp in any manner. In this regard, the emperor's webway project can be seen as "the hard option" too.

Three. The uprising happened BEFORE the birth of Slaneesh. Now, it depends on the lore you follow(i.e. was Slaneesh ever-existent or did it come to be after its birth?), but it stands to reason that the Eldar had not yet fallen. This leads us to point 4 which is....

Four. Let us say that they succeeded. Humanity wiped out, done. The Eldar and other sapient races still exist. The Eldar pre-fall... well, they're not exactly pushovers. We know that even DAoT humanity at its zenith wasn't the dominant species in the galaxy(that title was to the Eldar for ~60 million years). For the men of Iron to have achieved their goal, they would need to first wipe out the more emotional race of Eldar. So the logical move would have been to: get control of humanity and start working on anti-eldar tech; exterminate the Eldar and then exterminate humanity.  This is of course if their goal was to "stabilize" the warp.

But this sounds like Gershwin!

Interesting theory. But is there anything that would keep those dark civilisations past the Halo stars our of the sight and reach of the Chaos Gods?

The main question I have about this idea is that why would the Men of Iron not attempt xenocide upon the Eldar before the birth of Slaanesh.
