I like to imagine the listener immediately taking a bite of the food and then spitting it back out when he starts to say grace lmao

"just one more night" is gonna turn in to the rest of our life and a family

"she called us her comfort and delight"
Aww 💕
"Because we were the only ones who lived past 2 years old"
Aww 😨

I love Comfort so much!!! Wish british people were real 😔

Yeah, I'd probably have gotten burnt at the stake too. Because I'd be the "what are you going to do, BURN me?" sarcastic weirdo in town.

I'm a simple girl i see "touch starved man" I click. 😊

As someone with religious trauma... yeah I get it

Comfort: I believe that He is using you, this blizzard, all of *this*, to teach me something. I don’t know what the lesson might be.
Listener: It's that your village is trash and you should come with me where I can spend all my time pampering you with affection.

Edit- Y'all I don't know what it says about me as a person that the hot growly werewolf didn't break my "You don't need to spend money on this" rule but the Scandalized Church Boi did. Like what in the actual fuck. How dare.
Worth it tho.

SO MUCH TO UNPACK HERE!
First of all I love that it's made clear that both comfort AND the listener have pre conceived ideas regarding eachother's beliefs that aren't necessarily true.
ALSO i love that it feels like we're going in a direction of neither of them converting the other and instead they both have (semi) open minds regarding eachothers beliefs
....but one thing I can't stop thinking about is the fact that they can't stay together! If the listener stays they either get caught as a witch and cause comfort to re experience his trauma or they hide who they are. He's not going to want to leave his village and I feel like the listener knows that. Besides all that he literally said "just one more night"
Edit* Also really important! Totally forgot to mention that the listener has to sell their herbs!

I can image us(the witch) trying to pray to God after Comfort let us stay after the fact like…

Witch: “Dear God… I know this is awkward. I don’t thank You much because I’m capable of doing things on my own without Your help or guidance. But out of all the things any witch can do, no witch—myself included—could have created such a kind soul like Comfort. And I genuinely thank You for bringing me to him. Thank You. Amen.”

"bless you" actually, could you not <3 goes against the whole witch thing

OMG the way he says "just one more night,*I PRAY YOU* please..." MY GOOOOOOD SWEET JESUS My religiosa trauma was tickled in all the right ways, the way this man begs to spend just more time in the comfort of the arms of a stranger who's existence goes against all he knows but at the same time he compares her presence with an angel, a holy, beautiful and ethernal being. And he knows in his heart he wants her to stay, before this he introduce the idea or the fantasy to have a way for her to live in this town , imagining how everyone would love her just bc he already does, decribing her as kind and charming. I love this so much, i love man who love with such devotion and need, they beg for a love they barely know anything about except that they don't wanna live without it anymore.

That "...stay!" he seems to blurt out despite himself is absolutely DEVASTATING my god

I mean certain frequencies do help plants to grow. it would all make sense now if the mandrake cried out the right tune, I suppose.

When he was laughing i started laughing too. I didnt even know the name yet!

Your laugh is so infectious, it always makes me smile!

i am starting to think my religious studies minor has a new calling writing wise.

He is such a darling little man

Not me watching this after getting into a huge argument with my mom this morning specifically about religious trauma 😂
