The old Top Gear could literally make or break your opinion of a car, I swear. How could you watch this and NOT want one?

2009 Jeremy: "Its almost impossible to crash this"
2022 James May: "Hold my beer bro" and crashes it.

“Almost impossible to crash this car” sounds like a perfect car for Richard Hammond.

“A FIT, YOUNG, RACE CAR DRIVER IN A SUPER CAR, AND HE CAN NOT PULL AWAY.. FROM A FAT MAN”

Came back to this video just for that lol

If you want to get a girl with one of this cars:

-With the Lamborghini you get a gold digger.
-With the Evo you get the most beautiful girl of the ghetto.

Everyone saying that everyone here would take the Lambo if offered one... You're right, I would. I would take it so I could sell it to buy an Evo and put the left over money back into something more practical than a Lambo.

"One finger powersliding."

Bunta Fujiwara would like to know your location

“The red evo is yours, what do you mean? What you think i’d let you roll in a hyundai”

This 400hp evo is quicker to 60 than a Hellcat lol

damn, Japanese car makers have an amazing engineering skills; a Lamborghini that's being driven by a Pro racer cannot outrun a much cheaper car like a lancer evo

I was shocked by this car's performance in NFS and thought it's so unrealistic but after this episode, i changed my mind. The Mitsubishi is absolutely crazy ...

0-60 in 3.5 seconds is insane today, so in 2004 it was ridiculous. I wonder how many production cars in 2004 had a faster 0-60 times. Maybe only the Carrera GT, CC8S and Atom?

4:55 greatest line he's ever said XD

Smile from ear to ear. From a Subaru guy. Evo over Lambo every single time.

As Evo owner in the year 2023 I’m proud to take care of such a historic car. I take her through walks through the canyons as much as possible

I've owned an Evo IX for 6 years, and despite driving cars like the M3, GTR, 458, 911 turbo, Viper GTS, Panamera turbo, 5.0 POS mustang etc, I have never found a better car where you can feel the road through your arse and the drivers wheel and drive it on the limit with as much pleasure as the Evo. The only thing comparable to a crisp 4cyl, spooling turbo, and blow off valve (in my opinion) was the 458 with the symphony behind your head.

Yes the interior is plastic, yes i've spent an ungodly amount of money on mods, yes the turbo takes the better part of a decade to reach full load if you're at low rev, but walking out to it as a daily driver makes you smile every time you let off the pedal and let the BOV flutter. I cycle through cars faster than my grandma uses colostemy bags, but this car is the shit, and its the only car I can confidently say I will never sell.

Three year update since comment = 152k miles at 400whp on stock block, no issue but the fuel pump. (purchased for 17k in 2010)

Four year update since comment = 159k miles - detuned to 340whp on stock block. Eventually I'll rebuild, but still hasn't blown!!! 10 years, going strong but with a conservative map

8 year update: 190k miles, stock block. My daughter called dibs on this being her first car. Planning refurbish and overhaul (might add rollcage for her). Far from my daily anymore, but still the most underrated and fun car on this planet

Audi,Merc,BMW: we make fastest saloons
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO FQ400: hold my rally experience

man! I really missed the old top gear!

a 4 door sedan with enough trunk space thats able to keep up with mid engine supercar is just absolutely insane
