Truly one of the most magical places to visit in Bulgaria is Nessebar. Nestled inbetween Sunny Beach and Pomorie, visiting the Old Town is an absolute must. Join me and my Mom as we explore the ancient ruins of Thracian, Byzantine and Roman empires, eat delicious local seafood and have a nightcap at a very unique bar! If you are touring the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, definitely make time for this beautiful and historic city.

I visited Nessebar in July and was so impressed that I immediately made it my number one choice for a future place to live in Bulgaria.

Yes, Nessebar is definitely the pearl of the Black Sea. It always has something to captivate you with. So much history in it and when you visit it you just fall in love in this ancient city. ❤

Nessebar is my pure LOVE! It’s so full of history! The museum is great, especially for those who like ancient times. I’ve read that during the Roman period of the city, Roman nobility came to Nessebar for the rest and treatment since the city was known for its healing mineral springs

I don't think anyone had done such a nice job advertising the Bulgarian Black Sea coast like Alina did it! Thank you so much for this great video/ vlog and congrats for doing such a great job, Alina!

Great video Alina. I am Czech living in the Netherlands. We have visited Bulgaria 2 years ago and spent one evening in Nessebar. It is such a lovely place. Unfortunatelly the churches were closed already. Hopefully we will come back and see more of Bulgaria. My brother was in Sozopol and liked it as well. Bulgaria was a popular destination for us when I grew up /late 70s and 80s/. Greetings and enjoy the rest of your trip.

I have been to Nessebar once and I remember my surprise and amazement at this city. It felt like ancient Rome. I was transported in time and space while visiting. Almost a back to the future kind of a feeling. I am still surprised this city exists in 2025. Your video is awesome.

I love how safe and not too crowded Eastern Europe is. I went to France and the UK and despite my love for both countries, sadly I felt unsafe and witnessed a few cellphone theft incidents 😢 Now, I have to save up and this time try to travel to Europe to visit the East part!

Nessebar looks like such a magical and historic destination. The blend of Thracian, Byzantine, and Roman ruins makes the old town truly special. Fresh seafood and the unique coastal atmosphere add even more charm to the experience. Thank you for sharing this beautiful glimpse of Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast!

Thanks for the video for Nesebar. The city I really like the most in Bulgaria so I decided to live here at least few months every year. It’s beautiful and charming the whole year actually even in the winter. Nesebar is ancient city but not the oldest in Bulgaria. The oldest in Bulgaria is Plovdiv I think. Which s one of the oldest in Europe and even among the top 15 oldest still habituated cities in the world.

Oh my goodness another beach town beauty! This one is even fancier than the last. I was gonna say the archaeological museum was quite impressive but you beat me to it lol Also that bar has to be one of the most insane looking bars in Europe. Super cool

That spot just before stalactite bar is my favorite place in Nesebar. Sitting down on one of the benches and just staring out at Sveti Vlas in the distance is such a chill thing to do. There is a similar panoramic spot in the new town, just overlooking the old town, again rest and chill. BTW, one thing you and your mom can do is look up an old Bulgarian movie from the 1980s 'С деца на море'; about the adventures of a group of kids in 1980s Nessebar. I remember watching it during a long bus ride with fellow students, and the girls from Georgia really liked it.

Another interesting place to get lost in history, which Nessebar Old Town has in spades. Looks like an impressive place to visit for a couple of days.
