On October 23, 2023, SoftBank Hawks' new manager, Hiroki Kokubo, held his inauguration press conference.
How would he rebuild a team that had failed to win the championship for three consecutive years despite its unwavering commitment?
Speaking alongside team president Sadaharu Oh, who also appeared on stage, Manager Kokubo emphasized the "inheritance of Oh-ism."
What is Oh-ism?
TNC Television Nishinippon delved into the heart of the matter from a unique perspective two years ago.

Today's professional baseball is indispensable for discussion without mentioning the Hawks.
Since 2010, they have won six league championships and seven Japan Series titles.
Just as they are constantly expected to win, the team has also faced humiliation.
27 years have passed since Sadaharu Oh, the team president who transformed the team's history from a small underdog, came to Fukuoka as manager.
Over the course of more than a quarter-century, the men who played alongside him from his inception have become the core of the transformed team and are committed to passing on that history to the future.
Koji Akiyama, Kimiyasu Kudo, Hiroki Kokubo, Kenji Jojima, Nobuhiko Matsunaka...
They all know the days when they couldn't win.
How did the Hawks, once mocked as a burden, become successful?
And what kind of team will the Hawks become in the future?
We explore the answer through the words of the men who carry on the Oh philosophy.
