The zone has some characteristics of an alive creature, I think it is kinda responsible for the destruction of c-contiousness since it gave scar the power of surviving emissions temporarily and disrupted strelok's death truck, I believe that the zone doesn't want to be controlled.

I like to see the zone as a leak in the noosphere, and an emission as a drop slowly building up at the hole of the pipe and then falling on the ground

So before 2006, there were no emissions, so the noosphere did not accumulate this energy that needed to be dissipated. But then the C-Consciousness messed with it and now it does. I wonder if the emissions in Clear Sky were not just more frequent, but also stronger, because the C-Consciousness would know how to feed more energy into the noosphere wound.

I already had an idea that the C-Consciousness controlled the emissions and ramped it up because of Strelok in CS, and i already felt that their deaths at Strelok's hands contributed to the more frequent emissions in CoP, but i especially love both your timeline and graph at the end, it helped out things into context

I always wondered if the actual blowout is a physical manifestation or if its all in stalkers minds. I mean a blowout with that much force would make the surrounding areas look like Tunguska.
