I never knew these films exsisted. Wonderful stuff that brings to life what motorcycle racing was. Peter Williams, what a brillant fellow that suffered a cruel injury. And of course Percy Tait. What a sweet moment holding that beautiful baby sheep. That is his real life, and the motorbikes were well..... in his words, fun. Yes "Days". What a touching end. Guzzi pilot #459
Percy Tait was a top class rider. I remember years ago he came to IOM for a parade lap then went like a bat out of hell on the so called parade lap lol
The golden era of motorcycle racing saw these guys ride may times at my local track Oulton Park brings back many great memory's of my youth going to the races..
What a great video brought back so many good memorys I even recognise some of the marshals although I still watch racing on the TV its not the same anymore.
Magnificent history!! I was but a few months old, so my Dad had recently retired from racing and took to interviewing around the paddocks. I'll always remember the noise and beautiful smell of the paddocks as I was growing up. I wish it could be turned into an afterrshave
Hello Dave, I hope you are well. Iβll always be grateful to you for giving Peter the best laughs when you both Skyped, especially the story about your new electric toothbrush! Peter loved that, I miss him so much πbest wishes Pam W x
I always admired you, Sir, for your skill as a development engineer. Anybody that would chuck a leg over that Cosworth camel must also have had bollocks of heat-treated titanium. I wish you a very long and happy retirement!
