I knew jazz but I didn't know that acid jazz existed before persona 5

i always thought persona 5's music was just some form of chill funk or maybe even a weird genre of lofi but it's legit jazz! that's so badass to me. music is magic

Didn't know this particular genre called acid jazz until now and it's my new favorite

I remember stations here back in the 70's & 80's playing acid jazz, sounded much different, however I did notice at least 7 rock/pop covers on this stream including "Whole lotta love" Zeppelin, Foxy Lady, Hendrix, Holiday, Madonna, and I'm not sure of the Michael Jackson tune, but it's in there too. Pretty cool jams, 1968-2020 says it all, This genre of jazz is still going strong!

Rouge the Bat got me hooked on acid jazz when I was a kid when playing SAB2. It just scratches an itch I can't explain

I have not heard those two words together in a long time.....back in the day acid jazz was all I ever wanted to listen to....thanks for the reminder.

If some of y'all wanna dig more into acid Jazz I'd recommend a group called Groove Collective.
