Any Diane. You could never go wrong.

I think you nailed it.  I love that you included her performance in Manhattan.  Diane playing abrasive, conceited, cerebral and uttering Woody's high fallutin dialogue like it was butter.

Her role in Godfather’s series was outstanding! The apparent passion of her life was Al Pacino! Seems like yesterday!

Crimes of the Heart,  holds a special place for me because its the first time I was introduced to her, and then had to search out all her work.

"The Good Mother" and "Crimes of the Heart" are two of my favorites of hers.

In my mind, Diane will always be young, beautiful and talented.

My two favorite movies with Diane Keaton are "Something Gotta Give" and "The First Wives Club".
When Keaton dances and sings "You Don't Own Me" together with Goldie Hawn and Bette Midler, and the world is alright.
It's such a shame that a sequel was never filmed, even though, according to the three stars, it was always planned.
And „Something……“ ohhhh my god
W O N D ER F U L
All scenes with Diiane are hillarious and mesmerising, with Jack, Keanu, Frances and Amanda…..one of the few ageles films ever made

"The Book Club" is always funny and, as a big Jane Fonda fan, absolutely worth watching, but Candice Bergen was the real scene-stealer, as btw: Hawn was in „The first wifes club“

„Mavin‘s Room“ as a vig Meril Streep fan and both played brillantly together, two real giants on screen.
„Family Stone“ and „Baby Boom“
„The big wedding“

And I'm probably one of the few who simply thought "The Godfather, Part III" was great.
„Reds“ An overly long and heavy film, but wonderfully acted by Keaton, Beatty and Nicholson.

Diane Keaton always reminded me of Romy Schneider (Fortunately, it was rare enough that Romy ever wore her hair curly.), especially in this film as Louise Bryant.

Not only their looks, but also the depths of their eyes when both looked directly into the camera, allowed one to see into their soul and express so many emotions in a tiny moment, in the blink of an eye.
Watch the french movie „Le train“ with Romy and you will see what i mentioned with this one look expression.
Diane Keaton an atypical fashion icon and one of the best and admired actresses in Hollywood , like Romy Schneider in Europe.

Btw: i am not a Woody Allen fan, and I generally avoid watching his films, and believe me i realy tried

Reds forever!

Kind of an awkward story in conjunction with my other comment but decided to do a separate one to tell it. A decade ago in my one year of college for a film class, we were given a writing exercise where we were asked to write about a dream we had the night before. It just so happened because of how much I loved & rewatched Annie Hall, I had a dream about meeting not Diane Keaton, but the character Annie Hall. Kind of reminds me of a movie's premise I heard about once many years ago. Anyways, thats probably the most notable Diane Keaton memory I have.

This is gonna be good. Of course Diane IS Annie Hall but even as someone who hasnt seen much of her career, i know she has an incredible line of work spanning half a century. Heck, I bought The Family Stone & Something's Gotta Give on DVD a few months ago after her passing to hopefully find a spot to watch them. Keep in mind, I mostly purchase movies when its something I have seen or I know Ill like.

She will be missed. RIP Diane Keaton
