Hello everyone,

I am having a few financial issues, so everything helps:

"Learn La Pompe Step by Step": https://learngypsyjazz.systeme.io/lap...

1 Lick does all: https://www.skool.com/learn-gypsy-jaz...

Bandcamp: https://jimmygrant.bandcamp.com/album...

Bireli Lagrene "Hungaria": Hungaria

Today I teach a very common Django lick, and you have to learnt his one... Django used it a lot, as well as any contemporary gypsy jazz artist. You name them, they use it. (Bireli, Stochelo, Angelo Debarre, Jimmy Rosenberg, Paulus Schafer, Adrien Moignard, and of course Dhango)

You're a great player and you've definitely put in the work understanding the building blocks of music, and it shows in your improvisation. Heard a lot about you years ago when you were first coming up in the jazz manouche/swing guitar world from my friends in the SF Bay Area, then finally got to see you play last fall with Tim at the Side Door in Sacramento, the same night of the TransAtlantic Guitar Trio with Joscho, Richard and Rory. This kind of content is valuable and anything under 10 minutes is watchable/rewatchable. I don't live in the area anymore, but if you and Tim ever need gigs, duo, solo, or sit in with my trios on guitar, lead, rhythm, whatever, you'd be welcome. I don't use "social" media and I never did back during the 1995-2005 Swing Music Revival, but if you're ever down in SoCal and want gigs in Ventura County (Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Simi Valley, Ojai, Moorpark, etc.) there is some demand for live swing outside of the saturated L.A. scene. I also have family up north in Solano County so whenever I visit them, I usually play solo jazz guitar (straight ahead, mostly, if I don't have a rhythm player to supply La Pompe or flat 4/4). Great places to play not far from you in Carson City, Virginia City, Reno, Sparks, South Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake/Truckee, Nevada City, Auburn, Placerville, etc. All the best to you, and MICHTO! --- "Rooftop" / Justin (originally from rural unincorporated Solano County. Used to play all over SF/Napa/Sonoma/Sacramento once upon a time)

Django told those who wanted to imitate him that if he had been lucky enough to have full mobility in all the fingers of his left hand, he wouldn't have bothered playing with just two fingers.
