You disclosed that you quit drinking caffeine, but your videos resemble someone who drank coffee all day in a cafe and finished reading three books, then wants to talk about them with somebody. Thoroughly entertaining, brother!

I previously agreed with catcher in the rye being a D, but after a reread in my 30s, the book read as a beautiful exploration of grief for his brother and depression in youth and trying to comprehend that loss while still so young rather than an angsty teen. When you’re deep in grief, everyone is a big fat phony !!

My dad grew up in the '60s and he said his parents would throw parties all the time and the adults would basically just gather around the piano and sing and drink. As an adult I've never been to a party where people sing.

It’s super late and I have work tomorrow but I don’t care I’m watching the whole video anyway!

The goat has blessed us once again 🙏

War and Peace is without question the greatest novel ever written. Very few books can sit on the "S"  shelf beside it

You’re responsible for my Want To Read list being out of fooking control!!!

ima need some popcorn for this man

You got a new subscriber because of this video. Awesome!

Can't really get behind Dante in B 😅. If you only read it from an orthodox Christian lens I can see the limitations, but the Vita Nuova says that Dante intended (and I think succeded) at writing the  greatest possible love poem. He uses Christian cosmology, intricate numerology, and an encyclopedic knowledge of Medieval scholarship basically as decoration for the resounding statement "Beatrice reminds me of God".

By simply mentioning RESURRECTION you won a thumbs up, subscribed and a comment. What an under appreciated book! And yes, WAR&PEACE is transformative work. I’ve read five different translations and look forward to reading it again, before I die.

Yeah, nobody has read Casanovas memoirs and it's literally the best thing I've ever read and it's an absolute classic!!! It's 3'500 pages and just sooo good!! All the writers can go pack their stuff, Casanova actually lived it, what a crazy life!!

Well bloody hell. I never watch two hour videos in one sitting. This was edifying. Thanks.

"you guys already know my mount rushmore, Sarah J Maas, Rupi Kaur, Mark Twain and Gabbie Hanna"
wut? lol
No... no I don't think we did...

To Kill a Mockingbird is definitely a YA leaning classic, but let’s not call it “not well written.” Maybe in the scheme of a classics tier list, but in the scheme of literature, it’s very well written.

placing to the lighthouse and mrs dalloway that low is genuine insanity holy

The prose in Lolita is mindblowing; VN was Mozart with a typewriter.

I am leaving Nepal today. The women sing together often, students passing in buses, while trekking, romantic songs playing on their phones, all together. I love it.

The Swann’s Way section 😂😂 dude

I can’t believe all this guy had to discuss about “100 Years of Solitude” was the literary genre some English-speaker critic created for some Latin American books. He is way too focused on the “fantastic” elements of the book when the book isn’t about that.
