Carlin was a genius. His words still fit today. RIP George

George is timeless. Relevant now and probably 30 yrs from now

This standup was back in 1990 and still its hitting home today.

George Carlin was the comedic version of George Orwell.

George Carlin always seemed to be a philosopher who happened to be a comedian.  This is the first video ive seen from you since October.  I'm glad to see you two are safe and sound. 👍

George loved words and what they can do. Wordsmith extraordinaire.

George Carlin is a man ahead of his times. He was the inspiration of most comics today. A GENIUS COMIC and narrator of life and reality.... RIP CG.... Respect

“Tell people there's an invisible man in the sky who created the universe, and the vast majority will believe you. Tell them the paint is wet, and they have to touch it to be sure.”
― George Carlin

I was standing in line for coffee 1 morning at Ballys, Atlantic City.
I turned around and there stood George Carlin, directly behind me, alone waiting in line like the rest of us.
I smiled and simply said,

"Good morning Mr Carlin. Thank you for the fantastic show last night over at Caesars and thank you so very much for all the joy and entertainment you have given me throughout the years.  Congratulations on all your success sir"

He smiled back and said,

"Good morning to you. Please call me George.
I'm glad you enjoyed the show and I'm thrilled that you have been along for the ride with me. Thank you."

George Carlin- The only celebrity or famous person that I have ever actually shed a tear over, when hearing of his death.
"Thank you George."

George Carlin was one of those no holds barred comedians - he would make fun of anyone. And if he didn't make you laugh you would make you think. MORE George Carlin please 😎

You cannot listen or watch enough of George Carlin. He was unique. And the things he talked about 20 or 30 years ago is every bit as relevant today.

"These poor people (crippled/disabled) have been bullshi††ed by the system into believing that if you change the name of the condition, you somehow change the condition, but hey cousin - DOESN'T HAPPEN!"

That is one of my favorite quotes from this bit, if not his entire career.  It hits with so much truth.

GEORGE was a seer, and a prophet..... a genious at a very early age.  it took him years to evolve into the person you are watching.  the beauty of life, is our evolution of thought, and time, creates wisdom.

Rest in peace, Apostle George!

Man, he would destroy how things are now.

"If 'crime fighters' fight crime, and 'fire fighters' fight fire ... what do 'freedom fighters' fight?"   --- simple, honest, direct language

As someone who suffers from PTSD, I can attest that no one cares about you anymore. They say they do but no one really does.

George was a comedic genius, and a philosopher. One of, if not the greatest comedian ever. He predicted the future back then. RIP George !!

He was just the master. Rest in Peace, George Carlin

This is one of my favorite bits of his. Cuts right through the bullshit to the heart. RIP, George. We miss you!
