S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is finally here https://youtu.be/N2K5nlsbvLY?si=RYo1fxyIz2Eb8qkX

11:51 The military actually has a deal with Sidorovich, they won't attack Rookie Camp as long as no one attacks them. If you engage the lone patrol or the soldiers stationed at the checkpoimt, they will gather together and walk towards the Rookie Village, most likely wiping it out.

This is actually one of my earliest memories of Stalker and one of the genuine WOW moments.
One day I decided to screw around with the patrol, my guns were too weak so I didn't get any kills in. I ran away. Some time later I looked towards the checkpoint with my binoculars and realized the soldiers were actually walking TOWARDS US in an actual formation (Not the slightly buggy combat ai, calm march with an obvious leader in front). I kept watching them until they got too close, then I retreated into the village. Soon after a firefight started between the loners and the soldiers. I tried to help but again, my weapons were no match for them. As more of the loners started dropping dead, I panicked and ran towards the anomaly field north from the village. I hid in one of the pipes and waited. With how intelligent the ALife can be, I was genuinely afraid they might come find me. After a while I gathered the courage to leave, I went back to the Rookie Village only to see a massacre, loner bodies scattered around and not a soul alive. I ran to the main road and looked through my binoculars, the soldiers were calmly returning to their own checkpoint, minus two of them. I decided to move on and headed north, then I realized the two missing soldiers didn't die, they just decided to split from the main group and headed north too. Wanting to avenge my fellow stalkers, I somehow managed to get the jump on them and killed them.

One of the greatest things about stalkers is the unique stories every player gets to experience thanks to the sometimes sentient alife system.

I SAID COME IN, DONT STAND THERE

There are hot keys for medkit and bandage

[ for medkit, ] for bandage

Fun fact: When an npc has just spawned in, if you ask them if they know something interesting, they say “Well, I’m not really up to date with the latest news.”

Two mistakes in the video:
1. The Duty guys in Military Warehouses are not Duty. They are Ex-Duty who grew disillusioned with the faction and formed their own, Silence, to continue to fight against Freedom, because Duty didn't want to after the Faction Wars in CS.

2. The bodies hung outside the gates are actually Alpha Zombies. You'll see a lot of cut content being turned into map props.

So the reason there's Monolith in Lab X-16 is because in Stalker: Clear Sky, which takes place a few weeks prior to Shadow of Chornobyl, you help a squad disable the psi-emitter. So between the events of Clear Sky and Shadow of Chornobyl, the Monolith raided Lab X-16 to reactivate the psi-emitter in an attempt to close off access to the north of the Zone once more. Then we go through and turn it off again.

Channels like yours are my favorite. Guys who don't make game reviews for a living but because of their passion for the game. Great video and review.

All the times I hear stalker, no matter the context, I think.... "Marked one? What the eeell" and explodes

An 94 jamming is actually realistic, thats why its not in use wide spread to this day, its so complicated something is always breaking.

Apparently the game was heavily influenced by Roadside Picnic. A sci fi short story. Essentially the same plot of STALKER but instead of a 2nd Chernobyl explosion, it was.............aliens who decided to visit earth momentarily, in a variety of locations, and left a UNGODLY amount of strange and radioactive junk all over the place.

That group of Duty you help wipe out the Freedom base in the Army Warehouse ends up dying anyways if they survive attacking the base. They all end up wandering into an anomaly field, they just slowly walk into it one by one 😂. There also always seems to be multiple bodies in that fire pit in the area those Duty guys start at. This game is hilarious at times.

You keep thinking this is just janky looter shooter until "Mooze - dead cities pt.2" starts playing

There's a hidden suit of armour you can get in the rookie village hidden in an attic you can get it via the building with the ladder

One interesting note about the weapon and gear degradation. The game was originally planned to have a repair mechanism which let you pay certain traders to repair your items. This feature had to be cut at the last minute because the developers ran out of time and were only able to complete the weapon degradation feature. A community made mod, S.T.A.L.E.R. Complete 2009, patches some bugs and adds the repair mechanism back into the game, along with some graphical enhancements.

if i remember correctly, Duty is not deserters, but the first members who founded Duty were part of the Military, and they either left behind or just simply stayed in the Zone after the second disaster.

Bro picked up a broken gun and put it in the low tier *smh*

45:50 A fun little fact those hanging bodies are bodies of alpha version of zombies just reused here. However it wouldn't be against duty for excessive use of force like that suicide squad trying to assault the main Freedom base. That aside this one of the most unique stalker reviews out there! I hope youll be doing the rest of the series too

The video is simply magnificent for everyone who are not familiar with Stalker. Everything that is needed for a person who was not familiar with the series and decided to plunge into this world for the first time. The only thing I want to say is that the concept of the game was initially not at all connected with what we got in the end. There was production hell in the development of the game was planned for 2004, but everything was postponed due to the ambitions of the developers who wanted to make a dream game. And the original game had a completely different look, although it had core features and mechanics that were greatly modified. There was even a plan that random NPCs had to go through the main quest (which, as for me, was very fantastic and unrealistic. Therefore, the game was released with bugs, cut and in the form that it has now. I can't say that this is something bad, but the game really has a look that a person from the publisher THQ at that time decided to rush the developers who were too carried away by the process and delayed the development, which had to abandon many features such as: transport, personal backpacks, diseases, sleep mechanics, finding more documents, new factions, characters, old main plot with different endings, various mutants that were not in the original. The game should have been even more hardcore and takes much longer to complete. That all remained in the design documents and were then transferred to modifications and which can be seen in old builds of the project "Oblivion Lost" (the original name of the game). Initially, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was not planned to make more than one games, only one and that's it. In fact, this is true, but we can say that Clear Sky, which is a prequel to Shadows of Chernobyl, and Call of Pripyat, which is already a sequel to the 1st game. But in fact, these are add-ons that complement the main game. I hope for them too there will be a video because they are worth a separate analysis. In any case, it was interesting to watch. I hope there will be more videos on stalker, you know how to tell a story and lead to a topic and delve into it, this is very unusual for a video game reviewer. Thanks for the video!

19:15 There is also a broken section of fence on the right-hand side. You might have to deal with some boars, but it's definitely the safety way through. Unless you just pay the soldier's 500$ everytime you want to pass

Hey Kaz, thanks for this, tbh I wouldn't be able to watch through all of this BUT this will help me sleep, this will be like a friend telling me a good night story. Thank you :>
