Everyone’s brains. That’s the correct answer. It’s not just kids

It’s not just kids. It’s damaging all our brains

“It’s not only the screens themselves—it’s what they replace. Less play, less conversation, less movement, and less real-life interaction.”

I used to be addicted to my phone, but I downgraded about a year ago; My anxiety, depression and loneliness have diminished. My productivity, social life, happiness, inspiration, and motivation have all gone way up.

It’s causing brain damage in all of us . They won’t say that because they need us to continue to use their devices

Here in Canada, the adults have the problem. 90% of parents I see in public aren’t even paying attention to their child.

There's no mention of schools using devices in the classroom.

Even back in the day, TVs were called idiot boxes. We just couldn't carry it around.

I witnessed a child getting lost and separated from his parents because he was glued to his screen at the airport while following them. They were not paying attention. He walked up to some elderly folks for help and started crying. Screens can do more than just brain damage.

Norway giving up digital learning. They know it has failed.

Not only children. Society is completely off its gourd

Devastating reality is the lack of discipline first, from parents themselves...

90s ,2000s the last of the great era of being kids 😔

Giving or “introducing” devices to babies in the first place needs to be denormalized a lot, it should be ILLEGAL

As a speech therapist, my caseload has exploded and I believe it is due to screen time. It is not just the children, it’s the entire family that gets lost in their devices.

Preschool teacher here.  Parents say they care, but the first thing they do when they pick up their kids is give them a device because they can't deal with them.

Denmark is going back to books at school

Brain rot in your hands 24/7, mentally and now physically.

i am 26 and the last few years i’ve felt my brain turning to mush fr. i can’t imagine how hard it is for kids nowadays

edit: the past month i’ve been getting back into reading, and instead of scrolling on yt i’ve been playing physical puzzle games. i’ve been taking morning walks and drinking more water, can already feel the difference from all of it👏  remember, brains are tough and can heal/ grow stronger. 💙 phones and social media and ai are truly our downfall. hopefully things change! i feel terrible for the kids being born now

I know they're focusing on kids bc their brains are still developing, but I'm 42 and it's not just the younger generations that have their faces stuck in their phones all the time. We all are. I didn't get a smartphone until 2021 for this very reason, but now I'm falling into this trap as well.
