True story: I got into writing advertising because of this stuff. I ended up working in London at the same agency as the two blokes who did the Milk Tray ads in the 80s. Not bad for a kid for from a council house

My brother got my mum a birthday card along the lines if, 'I jumped off a cliff, swam in the sea.....blah, blah, blah.....and all because...oh ** I forgot the chocolates!'

I remember girls being called the Martini girl as an insult. Any time any place anywhere lol. Usually when they were exactly the opposite actually.

I used to be milkman for Unigate dairies and one year we had a promotion selling a cheap looking serving tray and our advertising consisted of a leering milkman holding this awful tray with the slogan: 'and all because the lady would love a milk tray.'

I love these...some products the US didn't have, like....unisex deodorant? And I WANT THOSE THAT SHIRTS!

Shame there isn't a version of this without the Jimmy Saville advert, the rest is pure gold.

I was a member of the Tufty Club as I was born in March 1963. We used to meet as a local club in Havant Hampshire in the early 1970s.
