I think it’s great that you have the choice to exclude the cylinder. I spend about 20p a day on hot water, so spending a couple of grand on a replacement for me is something that would never pay back

2 days, less than £3k (inc 1 rad change) all sorted in our newish build. Thank you HeatGeeks! Unlike all the other providers who were insisting on replacing our practically brand new hot water tank, it just works (and the Lidar is very cool!)

Great to see you innovating, challenging the norms, and ultimately making Heat Pumps more accessible to the masses. 👍 Keep up the good work

Great work.

Well done guys, truly impressive.

Wow, you really have been working hard in the background, amazing.
Well done, things have progressed fast. People are running out of reasons not to change.
If we could just get 'new builds' to be built heat pump ready, we would make that easier too.

Bloody great work.

I’d love heat geek to quote for my system. It’s probably the most straightforward installation for a combo removal with no radiator upgrades required.

Congratulations 🥂

Amazing work again from Adam and the team! I've used this app and it's fantastic. Backed by the Heat Geek guarantee #nobrainer

Amazing

I've just watched the interview with Roger Busby on Skill builder. I have to say it was a very good chat, but I'm still with you on your thinking. When I can afford it, being a pensioner, I will have your company install a heat pump.

Hi Adam. Great stuff - been following your channel for years. I watched the video by Shan on everything home and his zero disrupt install a while ago. Very interesting and impressive.
I see Roger has gone back to his old ways - his latest money spinner seems to be reviewing this video and, in my opinion, misrepresenting everything you are saying. I gave him a Don't recommend channel for his efforts.
Keep up the good work.

Give yourself a pat on the back from me. Well done!

Today I've put 2 estimates through Heat Geek's website.  One for my house in semi-rural outskirts of Edinburgh,  an end terrace single story which it estimated as 1323 sq ft and 8.85 kW heat loss and one for my sister who lives up a hill in rural Devon, a 2 story 2432 sq ft detached and estimated heat loss of 6.64kW.  For my property it assumed a £9000 Home Energy Scotland grant which is incorrect (£9k I think only applies if you're rural which usually means you're on oil) as I'm on mains gas (which it bizzarely also states as an assumption);  so I'd only be able to get a £7500 HES grant. It says my estimate is £10,850 for the basic options but I'd have to add £1500 due to the HES grant difference, so actually £12350.  My sister's estimate assumes current heating by oil which is correct and a £7500 BUS grant.  Her estimate is £4,150.  Both estimates specify Valiant aroTherm plus 10kW, 2 rad upgrade and reuse hot water tank. Given my sister's property is twice the size of mine and detached (and cold in the winter), I'm surprised that my relatively cosy property is 3 times the cost of hers.  I realise they are only estimates and the actual bills would differ but I'm puzzled as to what factors you are basing the estimate upon given the massive difference.

Hi heat geek. Great that you're updating your business model to include cascade systems. I'll upload my 22.4kw cascade to open energy monitor this weekend.
Your heat loss app for my property was miles off am afraid. Fingers crossed that's been improved for larger properties.

Suggestion for a next step: emergency install. I just had to buy a gas boiler to replace one that failed as  a 3 month wait was the best I could get for an ASHP, but I could have the boiler in a couple of days.
Also a little more flexibility on the enquiry form. When I entered the postcode, I got the "we're not ready for you yet" as it detected that my address is a flat. That's true, but it's a ground floor flat with a garden and plenty of space.

Not a criticism of what you have done, just my suggestion on what could be even better.

Hi! Bumped into you on the train last week on way to Waterloo Tuesday, and said hi - didn't want to spoil your morning with uneasy chat! really appreciate the channel - i can't have ASHP (within my budget) for my house but, i've taken everything you cover as premise for making sure what i am putting in will be future proof for the day ASHP might make sense (266m2, 1838 stone built house).. heat loss is quite drastic  still after a lot of improvements when keeping it "breathable".

I wish this was about 6 months ago, when my installer damaged my home installing a system that after two separate yet major leaks still does not operate correctly. As for efficiency, I haven't seen 3! It's hard to know who you can trust and who you can't! Good luck 🤞

£7800

Which is less than the £13500 ish a heat geek elite form quoted 2 years ago

Very impressed 👍
