You have to understand that the songs you hated were songs that BTS made to uplift ARMY during Covid when everyone was so scared and depressed. The songs were light and "bubblegum" at a time where everyone was so paranoid and full of anxiety. They were trying to bring a sense of hope to us all. They PURPOSELY made light music to ease us. The rest of their discography is very deep. They also did online concerts for us when we were all stuck in our homes at that time. The songs you hate were still written with a purpose. They were trying to cheer us up in a very scary time. I hope you will re-listen to the songs you hate with a different perspective.  BTS is all about their fans. They gave us what we needed at our most vulnerable time, even if it was "out of character" from their previous  music. But it's those songs that the western world finally paid attention to bc we were all going through the same fear at the same time and we really needed to hear/feel something positive. Much love to you! Thank you for your honest reactions! Borahae 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜

You’re not taking Jungkook in boxing. Sorry. That dude runs on a treadmill while singing all the lyrics of his songs for strength and endurance. And you have asthma.😂

Watch BTS hardships-you’ll understand why we are so protective of them.

i don’t understand how people just assume bts are overhyped and overrated shit when they don’t know a single thing about them? i mean it’s ok to not like them but the hate they throw on them are vile and cruel for no reason. I don’t see any one else receiving this much hate like they do and it’s been nine years since i’ve been here in this fandom. Anyways, bangtan will keep rising 💜

The songs that you hated were made during Covid as a way to cheer people up. “Permission to Dance,” was made as Covid quarantines ended. We had Permission to Dance again and everyone is taking their masks off to dance. All of BTS songs are for the world.

BTS finds you when you need them the most

1. u can NOT take hobi in a dance battle
2. the reason u hear more about hobi is rm mostly prefers alt hiphop and suga mostly prefers rapping about his honest deep feels
3. this guide is a little outdated but rm has 240+ credits now
4. they now have 1400+ awards now
5. rm cant cook for shit hes not playing  we labled him “ god of destruction”
thats how much ive watched so far will update later

Don't feel bad ..the 3 Big Companies worked hard to make you not like them

Three songs English lyric out of 300.  They were recorded during Covid specifically so army could actually sing along.  Songs with easy choreo so we all could laugh and sing during the most trying times.   They are not my favorite, but they served a purpose.

Im not a huge fan of the COVID trilogy either compared to their other 300+ songs, but they absolutely did serve a purpose. Nothing Bangtan ever does is meaningless.

54:14 yeahhhh he is the guy from blood sweet and tears

As an ARMY, I think a lot of people misunderstand why we're so protective of BTS. It's not because we think everyone has to like them. Music is subjective, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

What people don't always see is that BTS and ARMY have a relationship that has been built over years of trust, respect, and loyalty. We watch them work incredibly hard, push themselves to their limits, and share both their successes and struggles with us. They are honest about their journey, and they never take their fans for granted.

At the same time, BTS constantly show their love and appreciation for ARMY. They celebrate with us, communicate with us, comfort us through their music, and always make sure we know how grateful they are. Even though they have reached the top of the industry, they are still so humble and appreciative. That's something that really stands out about them.

That's why many of us feel protective of them. We see them as people first, not just celebrities.

And BTS are just as protective of ARMY. They always speak up for us, thank us, and remind us how important we are to them. Their success is built with ARMY by their side, and they never let us forget that.

So when someone says they hate BTS, I don't get upset because they don't like the music. What I usually find is that many people formed an opinion without really knowing much about them. All I ask is that people give BTS a fair chance. You don't have to become a fan, but if you take the time to listen to their music, watch their performances, and learn a little about their story, you might understand why millions of people around the world respect and love them.

That's why ARMY is protective. It's not just about the music—it's about the genuine bond BTS and ARMY have built together over the years. 💜

59:49 the whole entire western entertainment industry has openly been racist & xenophobic towards bts & their success. Theyve been called slurs bg radio hosts openly, even being compared to covid-19, theyve Grammys once depicted them being brutalized in a cartoon after they lost in one of their categories (the only artist to be depicted in that manner, everyone else was made fun of but bts were the only ones to be depicted with bruises and punched), billboard has continuously changed their charting rules every time bts hits #1 on their charts, journalists & paparazzi have openly mocked them on red carpets going as far as saying they can’t tell them apart simply for being Asian, theyve been called slurs by tabloids, people have openly called them girls for simply wearing stage makeup, the whole western entertainment industry has continuously done everything they can to reduce their impact & success simply for being a foreign artist succeeding in America (which they do to every single artist that isnt American or speaks English btw) and theyve faced numerous amounts of racism by other kpop fandoms simply for being successful. These are just some examples that I can think of from the top of head.

45:51  most handsome man in the world for over 6yrs BTW!!!!😌💜💗

The success of the covid era songs sent RM into a bit of depression. They did uplift like they were intended, but when they got so huge he was really scared they would get trapped by their success. Luckily they had the power in their relationship with the company and that did not happen. BTS has continued their journey of exploration of music and genres.

When Suga won his award the other members acted like bodyguards leading him to the stage. Then they had to give him a little push to walk up the steps by himself to accept the award. He kept looking back, “Where are my brothers?”

35:07 Suga is also samsung Galaxy ambassador. In his D-Day concerts, "No I phone no iPhone. This is Galaxy"

59:50 Honestly, as an African American woman, a 10-year ARMY, and someone who watches a ton of reaction videos,  like 75% of the backhanded and straight-up racist comments I see come from AA men. Obviously, I’m not saying every single Black man who does reactions is like that, but unfortunately, it’s super prevalent.

Even the AA men in my real life act this way whenever they find out I love BTS. My own uncle actually got kicked out of my mom’s house before because I was watching BTS content, and he started saying the most cruel, nasty things. He completely upset my mom and me, calling them f*gs and making racist remarks about them being Asian. It’s just so exhausting dealing with that kind of hate over something that brings people joy.

Here are a few examples

1. The Weaponization of the COVID-19 Pandemic
During the height of the pandemic, critics and media personalities frequently used the virus as a punchline to attack the group, a reflection of the broader, alarming spike in anti-Asian hate crimes and cyberbullying globally.

The Bayern 3 Radio Incident (2021): German radio host Matthias Matuschik compared BTS to COVID-19, describing them as "some crappy virus that hopefully there’s a vaccine for soon." He doubled down by claiming they shouldn't be dynamic performers just because they were from South Korea, accusing them of "blasphemy" for covering a song by the British band Coldplay.

The Howard Stern Show Incident (2020): Staffer Sal Governale claimed on-air that BTS was carrying the coronavirus, stating, "There's no way those guys don't have the coronavirus," simply because they had recently traveled from Asia to New York for promotional work.

2. Dehumanizing Imagery and Media Portrayals
Mainstream Western media companies have frequently reduced BTS to caricatures or excluded them from the basic respect afforded to Western artists.

The Topps "Garbage Pail Kids" Card (2021): Following the 2021 Grammy Awards, trading card company Topps released a "Shammy Awards" satirical card deck. While other Western artists like Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift were depicted in whimsical, harmless ways, BTS was depicted in a game of Whac-A-Mole—bruised, beaten, bleeding, and being violently struck with a Grammy trophy. The imagery was released just days after the tragic Atlanta spa shootings, drawing massive public outrage for glorifying violence against Asians.

The Australian TV 20 to One Broadcast (2019): A segment on the Australian show mocked BTS’s historic achievements. The hosts made comments like, "When I first heard something Korean had exploded in America, I got worried. So I guess it could've been worse," making a highly xenophobic insinuation about geopolitical conflict in the Korean peninsula. They also mocked their singing abilities and minimized their philanthropic UN speech.

3. Xenophobia in the Music Industry
The Western music establishment has frequently used "techno-orientalism"—a stereotype that views Asian creators as robotic, manufactured, or lacking genuine artistic soul—to dismiss BTS's historic success.

Dismissal as a "Fad" or "Manufactured": Despite writing, producing, and composing the vast majority of their discography, Western reviewers routinely refer to BTS as a "corporate product" or a passing internet fad driven by "crazy fangirls." This language is deliberately weaponized to deny them artistic legitimacy.

Radio Gatekeeping: Despite massive, record-breaking streaming numbers and physical sales that completely outpaced American artists, US radio stations historically refused to play BTS's Korean-language tracks, telling fans the music "wasn't a fit for American audiences" due to the language barrier.

4. Intersectional Prejudice: Xenophobia and Fragile Masculinity
Much of the backlash BTS faces stems from a toxic mix of racism, xenophobia, and strict Western concepts of masculinity.

Because BTS embraces a Korean aesthetic that includes makeup, diverse hair colors, fluid fashion, and open emotional intimacy with one another, they defy rigid Western ideas of what a "man" should look like. Critics frequently default to homophobic slurs, emasculation, and misogyny (such as calling them "girls" or mocking their appearance) because they cannot process a standard of male attractiveness and success that isn't rooted in Western, hyper-masculine norms.

Ultimately, the hostility BTS faces is a direct reaction to their disruption of the cultural status quo. By being unapologetically Korean, singing in their native language, and commanding the biggest fanbase in the world, they challenge deep-seated Western biases every single day.

And yes, I used Gemini overview, sue me lol, all of these things can be researched.

Suga: No IPHONE, JUST SAMSUNG 🔥
