Our loyalty IS to Jesus Christ Our Lord! Not to ethnicity, social status, or any other thing that takes our eyes off of Jesus!
From Atlanta - Jesus is King

Best teaching on the internet about the most important message in human history… and it only has 3.2k views. A little disheartening I must say.  But thank you for posting this!

I love this message, I’m just concerned there is not a clear explanation of what a sinner must do in response to the gospel. If I was a nonbeliever I wouldn’t know what to do when I hear this and would like to know my sin are forgiven by the death and resurrection of Jesus when I believe that good news.

Holy moly! A very great video

Thank you Brian!

I am suspicious of John Mark Comer, for many reasons, but denying penal substitutionary atonement is a huge one. If you want to know the gospel, read Greg Gilbert's book "What is the Gospel?". It can be found online for free.

This is what happens when you read the Gospels in a vacuum (apart from the other writings of the authors who wrote them ie the Apostles).

He claims that the "John 3v16" gospel cannot be found in the "gospel", or anything remotely close to it .... errr, you literally just pointed out where you find it - IT'S IN JOHN 3v16!!

Could somebody type the name of the book mentioned in 1:43?

14:01 lost people are most definitely immoral! Read Romans chapters 1 through 3, and especially chapter three. (I acknowledge that all people are immoral too, even if they are saved)

Why is this teacher pitting the four gospels against the rest of the new testament?  The letters of Paul, Peter, and others were in circulation before the four gospels were written.  However, even the Gospels speak to Jesus substitutionary atonement being one of the crowning achievements of His life on this earth.  This was kept veiled from everyone until after his resurrection.

For John Mark Comer, the announcement that Jesus is Lord is the totality of the good news.  However, this is very bad news for a sinful humanity who cannot be in the presence of a Holy God.  The good news is that Christ has made a way for us to come back into His family, for "He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquity."

The institution of the Lord's supper was so that we would always remember the cost of our sin, and the grace by which we are saved.

The problem with John Mark Comer's Gospel isn't that it's too big.  It isn't nearly big enough.  Becoming good people (or being sanctified) can happen because of it.  It is possible that earthly society could be made better because of it.  However,  the Good news is that we can have a restored relationship with our Heavenly Father, if only we will turn to Him.

Makes no sense to include Wallace--was agnostic and has said hes wasn't a believer.

Busted version of the Gospel.  Having people stand as he reads man's writing NOT THE WORD.  beware of his false teaching and preaching more about man's theology
