I've been lucky enough to have spent less than $1,500 and get to a point within 5 months to pass to many others in public. Planned parenthood informed consent was a single appointment for hrt. Groupon for $250 for a year of laser hair removal on my face but I have to drive an hour to get there. Luck is a huge factor and everyone will have a different journey with different costs. Hrt is a dice roll too and could do a lot or little. Rest of the money spent was on clothes, makeup, and name change.

This was an interesting approach to breaking down all of the costs of transitioning!  Of course I knew how expensive most of the major costs beforehand, but I really liked how you broke it down even more though!  For example i never knew most women uses 5 different kind of hair products to maintain their beautiful hairstyles, or how electrolysis/LHR sessions also include your legs, arms and other body areas too.

Dear Nikki Chanel just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you and your family have a good one!❤️💕

The mrs. had an out patient operation, on her wrist that took about 15 minutes, the final cost was $22,000.00. The only benefit in the end is she met her yearly deductable, so her other meds are now covered 100% by her employer insurance, which runs about $7k a year.
The continued bad news is come next year the insurance will reset, I told her to schedule to have her other wrist done early in the year, that way her deductable will be met early in 2025, and she can at least have zero payments for her Ozempic med (which costs about $1,400.00 a month even having insurance) She does get a manufacturers discount which is significant, but still rather high for the amount of insurance premiums she pays.

Health costs has gotten insanely expensive across the board.
When comparing transition medical cost with a 15 minute out patient procedure, one can't help but wonder who actually sets the pricing which can vary drastically from state to state.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us Nikki. I’m still at the beginning of my journey and this video has given a lot of useful information since i also live in Idaho. Hope you continue to put out videos and are doing well.

Once this starts not only is there now a mental, emotional, social investment in the choice to transition but even financial. Not to shift focus from what you’re saying, but these extremely high costs is even more reasons added to the list for why people should be sure they actually need/want to transition. All of this HAS to truly be worth it to the person.

Happy Thursday nikki 💋

Thanks for this video! I had no idea that the costs to transition were so high, but then I didn't factor in everything you talked about like clothes, makeup etc... You have a very sensible approach to your transition in that you get done what you can, when you can afford it - well done for backing out on the initial breast augmentation operation. To not know the exact cost BEFORE the operation seems crazy to me and you were right to cancel. I hope you can pay off your car soon, and be able to get your breast augmentation in 2025. You mentioned your lip fillers, and I can honestly say I couldn't tell you had them - it looks perfectly natural and feminine! Some people go too far and it just looks wrong.... Keep up all your brilliant videos, and thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Ps Love the Halloween throw on your sofa - that is so cool!

❤❤❤is good video & good advice..your content is much appreciated xxxReikki Kyra

Even in my country where most costs are covered, it remains expensive and many trans people forget this expecting that ALL costs are covered.

Electrolysis of facial hair is a real game changer for daily life especially when I can take care of myself. It took 120 hours ~9000€.

Nikki i have watched you for a long time now and i have always seen you as a beautiful young lady

Hello from Turkey 🇹🇷🙋
İ like you very much 😍😍♥️♥️

Hey Nikki - haven't seen anything posted from you in a while..... Just wanted to make sure you are safe and well

Did you ever have an issue with male pattern hair loss?

hi

Hot take: Most of this seems optional / needless kowtowing to hetero-normative, misogynistic, antiquated beauty standards.

Plenty of us cis women say 'fuck it' to fake nails, fake boobies, body-hair removal, extensions, fillers, botox, makeup, and all of the other monetisation of womanhood. (I guess many of us are lezzies, to be fair.)

And having long hair is basically free: Just use shampoo, conditioner, and a brush. If you don't damage your hair by dying it and blow-drying it, you don't need all the other crap.

@Nikki Chanel ... Not to mention the sheer agony of electrolysis ... or maybe that wasn't your experience but dayum, girl ... it sure was mine!!  😱

Nikki, do you still plan to eventually have breast augmentation surgery?

It definitely can add up!

Here are a few other things to add to list of costs:

Voice training
Legal name and gender marker change
Skin care products
IPL to remove freckles from HRT
Jewelry and  accessories
Manicures/Pedicures
Lash extensions
Brow waxing/tinting/laminating

Just want to say “Hi and happy hump day”!🤍❤️💕
