Pekka’s sole existence these days is either to bridge spam, or because people just hates mega knights to an extent

2 minutes in and bro is talking about Pekka reproducing 💀💀💀

@Jamzie33 2 years ago

I still prefer to think Pekka says 'Fucking Die' when deployed, makes more sense in my head.

@Fracto965 1 year ago

I thought PEKKA said 'mega knight' when she got spawned because everytime I deploy her its against a mega knight.

As of July 25, 2024. Pekka is sitting at a 16% usage rate with a 51% win rate which are very high rate.I never expected Pekka to have rate as high as this ever

I've been using P.E.K.K.A in my deck for years, I don't care how bad she is. I just love using her

The name P.E.K.K.A comes from a common Finnish male name Pekka. It was not originally an acronym in the beta stages of Clash of Clans. It likely started as an inside joke between the devs.

The old P.E.K.K.A. Walking Animation was something else 😂

2:50 persian speaker here, i haven’t seen any text where pekka is refered to as a male in the persian version of the game. it might be a translation error as in persian the 3rd person reference can refer to both male and female

Tbh, I feel like Pekka’s range should be longer because it just makes sense. Pekka has a huge sword and in her description, it even says that she swings from the hip.

2:36 The Finnish translation does not refer to P.E.K.K.A. as male. Finnish does not have gender specific pronouns, nor does the description contain a word specifying gender. Finnish does however translate horribly with Google translate, which is where the mistake is

28:45 and 29:32 Gratz was so stunned by the collision radius. he mentioned it twice

Btw the P.E.K.K.A. acronym comes from the Finnish male name of Pekka, since supercell is a Finnish company. Pekka is not specifically refered to as a female in the finnish version, because Finnish doesn't have gender specific pronouns. Hope this helped.

29:41 wow, being able to attack across the river is so important that he mentioned it twice.

Almost a year later and I can’t go a match without seeing a PEEKA

Even though P.E.K.K.A isnt a good card, I do not think there’s anything more satisfying that managing to make this monster connect to the tower.

Fun fact,
Before the creation of Clash of Clans, there was a Facebook game called Backyard Monsters, which was pretty much the same concept of CoC. In Backyard Monsters, there was a monster called D.A.V.E., which was a robot monster with high health and damage, with a large housing space. CoC creators mentioned their inspiration from the old Facebook game upon its release. This is likely why P.E.K.K.A., a high health, damage, and housing space troop, has an abbreviated name

I have never played a single match of this game ever. Only heard of it. And I proceeded to sit through every minute of a documentary of a game that I have never played. This was insanely well made, comprehensive, nicely edited. Keep up the good work.
