There's only one faculty in Japan where graduates find employment at prestigious locations like Meiji Jingu Shrine, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

While similar departments exist at other universities, this is the only faculty in Japan with the same name. Here's a ranking of 10 such faculties, in surprising order.

▼ Selection Method
・Based on the number of students by faculty in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Basic School Survey" (FY2025), we selected faculties with the same name that exist only at one university.
・This also includes cases where similar departments or faculties in related fields exist at other universities under different names.
(Example: There is also Kogakkan University [Faculty of Letters, Department of Shinto Studies] which trains Shinto priests. Acupuncture, radiological diagnosis, film, and animal husbandry departments also exist at other universities.)
・The ranking was determined by this channel based on "surprise."

▼ About the Numbers in This Video
・The university figures are those published by each university at the time (mainly for 2025 graduates, 2026 national examinations, and enrollment as of May 1, 2026).

The "49 people going to shrines" figure for Kokugakuin University is based on employment destinations for graduates from April 2025 to March 2026, as published by Obunsha Passnavi (based on a university survey).

The national examination pass rate for Meiji International University of Health Sciences is the university's publicly released figure (combined for third-year and fourth-year examinees).

The number of graduates, curator qualification holders, and graduates working in aquariums, etc., for Tokai University's Faculty of Marine Science is based on data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Award for Meritorious Service in Promoting Japan as a Maritime Nation" (2020).

The "Self-employed, etc." figure for Japan Film University is the breakdown of employed graduates as published by the university.
