Seeing a chess master with decades of experience basically "restart" in chess is the MOST valuable teaching content I've seen since I started studying chess. Thank you for being so transparent in your learning journey on your way to GM.

I haven’t played in a very long time. A very good refresher course. A friend has been asking me to play.

hikaru likes a lot this set up, he usually put both bishops at b2 and g2 and then plays a3 and h3

The Modern Defence also shares many ideas with the Accelerated Dragon.

That last game like an action movie, so intense GG!!

hi from France. I appreciate you as a man, as a chess player and for all your work. many thanks!

Can't believe you won that last game.  So cool to see.

Great to watch!

At 2 hours 30 minutes the guy he abandon takaru0 already banned lmao.

56:14 Bathroom Gambit: Declined

New stuff and good to know 👍

Surely there is some logarithim that Stockfish can employ that could check and compare ratings, and automatically alert to suspicious activity?

A long time ago, in a land far, far away, in a land where i actually played some tournament chess, i did actually play the Pirc Defense. When i mentioned to a rabid chess playing colleague that i occasionally played the 'Perk' defense, he laughed at me and told me it was pronounced 'Peertz.'

Since i never uttered this word again in a chess playing environment,  i suppose it doesn't really matter either way.

I saw c5 in the first game because it's a waiting move forcing your opponent to do something (and it stops them plating c5 of course) - very pleased with myself - yeah! Wait, I haven't watched to see if it was actually good or not!

4:28:05 Queen vs. rook endgame is more common than you make it out to be. I had a game like that just yesterday.

There was one guy you said you were blocking temporarily. Don't forget to unblock him if it was really meant to be temporary.

It's really unfortunate that you have to be so vigilant to the point of borderline paranoia, but it is a real problem And when you are spending a significant amount of time on each game, it becomes a huge waste of time if you aren't playing legitimate games.

Nelson needs to work on his TIME MANAGEMENT. The faster you play the better you become at making fast good decisions.

People playing at that speed and that accuracy at that level doesn't exist unless your closer to 3000.

Whatsup Rob!

That modern defence is good against below 1300
