Most people don't even know where the word "flirt" comes from.
It's from the French word "Florette" which means to throw little flowers.

New line

"I'm observing you as an attractive human being" lol

Flirting can be easily summarized - FUN.

Best way to flirt with a guy ladies… is to simply give him a compliment. He will remember that compliment for the rest of his life 😂

*slow down
*have some degree of control over the conversation
*do it for yourself; with very little expectations
*Less people pleasing (opp of seducing energy)
*avoid nodding too much and affirmative conversation fillers as they speak

My crush said “is that you? smells delicious” when they got a whiff of my perfume. That’s desire language right?

Flirting is so hard sometimes. We get so nervous we trip over our words!

Most people who are nervous when it comes to flirting are nervous because they don't know if this attractive person they're on a date with may end up being the love of their life. They're nervous because they know that even kissing this person could change things completely for both of them. Love is a serious business. Fun yes, but unless your sole intention is to get laid and ditch them for the next one, nerves are a natural part of the process. Even many of those who are just wanting something casual will get nervous because deep down they realise that sex involves emotional as well as physical intimacy, a level of vulnerability, and a myriad of implications, as much as they might deny it.

"It's not for you, it's for me".  Great idea, Audrey.
My key takeaway from  this is to relax and so I slow down when I talk, and then the rest can follow naturally rather than worrying over having to tick/check all the set bullet points.
Do it for me.  😊❤

That was interesting. So be present and let the tension exist

Evidently I'm bad at flirting, lol. All of their examples of flirts would have gone over my head and I do the excited agreement thing when I'm into someone.

“I enjoy myself while I’m with you”  🙂‍↕️, not “I enjoy being with you “🙂‍↔️

TENSION
CONTRAST
BEING IN CONTROL

I loved how Audrey said “that’s hot” 😂😂😂

Matthew: "If you want to be flirtatious, stop nodding."

Also Matthew: 13:57

you can still be spicy and not like spicy 😂phew was worried there I'm more a mac & cheese girl...

Audrey, I love that phrase! 😂

Flirting is playfulness. Nothing serious. When I flirt, I put myself in the spotlight for a moment or two, how much I like something about you. It's sad that this has to be analyzed and dissected, because it's the antidote to playfulness. We learn flirting from other people (or we used to learn flirting in real life when we had eye contact and conversations :)  we learn tricks from others, it's definitely a skill that can't be acquired any other way. Thank you for these videos, they help me have a better understanding. :)

At 26 and soon 27, I flirt by giving people compliments. I compliment both men and women of all ages. I wouldn't be able to do this if I were still 16 or 17 because my understanding of flirting then is different from now. As Audrey said, 'tension', 'contrast' and 'being in control' are how I think flirting is too. I give people compliments without expecting anything in return. This is me being in control, and the tension is how the other person will take it. Sometimes awkwardly and sometimes not. The problem is when I'm friendly to men. So, after years of learning how to talk to boys and now men, I learn that 'flirting' is a social skill that is not so nerve-racking.

Matthew, did you know early on that Audrey was going to be so knowledgeable about relationships and dating? She seems to fit perfectly into your life purpose which is to help people in their love life.  She is very insightful and a great teammate. One of the things I am anxious about meeting a partner with whom I will have no shared life purpose.  What if my future husband ‘checks all the boxes’ but we don’t have something meaningful that helps serve the greater good?  Is that something we could create after we’re married?
