Finally! Thank you for showing the difficulty in making the body of a butterfly! I don't like using glass saws, so appreciate you showing how much trouble it can be to get a good body by hand-cutting.

Wow I love it! Thanks for showing this project. Where I live, people come here to see the monarchs. I will definitely try and make one or two. Kathie from Mexico 👍🐢

This was so helpful! Going to give this a try next week for my daughters nursery

Beautiful work❤

Definitely another winner. Love the things you come up with to create. Turned out beautiful.

Absolutely stunning! I would have been so OCD about getting every little uneven point out of each piece of glass. But when I looked at your fused finished piece it dawned on me how much it looks like nature’s reality in that when one looks closely enough everything is perfectly unique. Thankfully everything doesn’t come straight from the factory, all made from a “cookie cutter“ and looking exactly the same. Thank you for reminding me to slow down and appreciate the “little” things in life which are actually the “important ” things in life and to allow my art to be art.

This is such a beautiful project. I also love butterflies. Your videos are relaxing to watch, and your detail work is amazing! Thanks for coming to share your work with the Dragons. Hope we'll see you again. In the meantime we can watch your work take shape in your videos right here.

If I decide to attempt this project, I would definitely use my grinder for fitting the pieces.  Thank you for sharing.

That’s great. I will try this but I will cut the body first after tracing it onto the black glass with a white chalk pen

😊

As I was watching the beginning, I wondered, how in the world does she add the black? Well, very cool technique! !! Thanx so much for sharing! !!
I just wish I could work as fast as you! !!  (I'll bet you do too!!)

This is wonderful! I've thought about doing butterflies, but I was stymied by where to start. This gives me a lot of idea of where to go. And man, did I feel you when the body wouldn't behave.

I love the idea of powder instead of just backing on a black background. I would have gone black, but then you don't get the lovely light streaming through the orange.

Are you using fusing paper? I'm assuming yes because you glued the base glass, but you know what they say about assuming.

Also, I'm jealous of your nice and neat clear scrap. Mine's all weird angles and shards.

What do you spray on the butterfly after you are done putting the gray frit on?
