Yes i’ve done a lot of oil changes on Hondas. I’ve worked at a oil change place and you did a phenomenal job. I didn’t know there was a torque specification for the drain plug and also I didn’t know there. Was those little triangles on the oil filter very cool very happy to see you doing it the right way I didn’t know there was the right way. 😅

I own a 2008 Fit Sport too.  When I change my own oil, I made my own "Honda Fit Oil Only" jug that is marked off at 3.8 quarts of oil.  Prior to the next oil change I fill this specially marked oil jug (formerly held 5.0 quarts of 5W-20 full synthetic oil) to the 3.8 quart level and then dump the whole jug into my oil pan.  I still double-check the oil level with my dip stick when the car is on level ground and has had 10 minutes or so to settle into the oil pan to get an accurate reading.  I have never heard of not replacing an oil filter at each oil change, so I think I will keep doing what I am doing.  Rock Auto sells Wix and Mobil1 Extended Performance oil filters for less than $9.00 (about half of what traditional retailers charge).  I recommend buying several oil filters at a time to save on shipping costs.

Great vid! I'd always change the oil filter with the oil, it's cheap enough and you're under the car anyways. I like to run some high pea injector cleaner a couple weeks before an oil change too, it's served me well over the years. They are brilliant little cars

I used a torque wrench… no poking fun at you from this direction. Saves the plug from being over tightened or too loose, so why wouldn’t you use a torque wrench if you have one.

In France, i use 5w40 motor oil fprHonda Jazz 1,4 CVT 2006.

I've reused the crush washer saw it leaking on the drain bolt few days later so just to be safe side just replace it when doing your oil change.

i put the 2x4 perpendicular to wheel. the 2x4 is longer that your's, greater than the width of the wheel, and it doesn't move.
