EXPOSED: How Ukraine can neutralise Russia’s ballistic missile blitz threat | Battle Plans Special

A missile launches inside Russia. Under five minutes later, it hits a city street in Ukraine. In that brief window, almost nothing can stop it — and almost nothing can catch the mobile truck that fired it before it vanishes back into the trees.

So why is Ukraine pouring its resources into hitting oil refineries and airfields hundreds of miles away — instead of blasting the launchers actually firing at its cities?

In this episode of Battle Plans Exposed, former British military intelligence planner Philip Ingram unpacks the military targeting chain: find, fix, and strike.

From the failure of the 1991 Gulf War Scud hunt to Russia’s Iskander-M, North Korean KN-23s, air-launched Kinzhals, and the hypersonic Oreshnik, we expose why hunting mobile launchers is one of the hardest problems in modern warfare — and why hitting fixed infrastructure remains Ukraine's best strategy.

Plus, a look at Britain’s Project Nightfall — the ground-launched 500km ballistic missile built specifically for Kyiv.

So the target to find is the depots and storage locations of the missiles and launchers.

I'm so grateful for the information that you bring to the table and give to the public. One can only imagine the terror in every Ukrainians life that Russia invokes it's a problem that I wish we could all work on to solve there's no need for Russia to do this, it's abundant land and population should be enough to keep the country content, but obviously. As it did in 1931 through 1933, it's trying to genocide Ukrainians.\n And by the mercy of God, I pray for their safety, this war. It's so painful in ukraine and around the world

The BM launchers are mobile and easy to hide. However, Russian generals are nothing if not predictable. It’s highly likely each launcher has a repeating operating pattern.

So, they can't find the factories where they make the missiles....

I find Philips videos extremely informative and interesting. I am an 83 year old Uk woman who can still remember a close call with a V2 rocket. My mum had taken me down to London to visit my father based in Kent, we were pushed down into an underground toilet by an air raid warden. Much to my mum’s horror it was a Gents!!

Perhaps Ukraine needs a drone cavalry, that will go after the launcher with a swarm to find that launcher that shot a missile to Ukraine. The cavalry alway comes to get you, no matter how long it takes.

Mobile launchers were adopted early by the Soviets during the Cold War to confuse targeting by stationary ICBMs. But that was before military satelites which reduced their effectiveness

Russians or Putin is a joke, from the map Russia is huge and it has so much resources , why can't Putin use all this to develop Russia and it's people instead of fighting a tiny neighbor who just wants to sneeze without asking for permission

I’m tired of hearing folks talk about not having enough Patriots. If a patriot cost $4 million and you need to launch at least two for one ballistic missile… You’ll need $160 million a night for just 20 ballistic missiles. You can’t keep going with that kind of math. The only way is to take out those launchers or better yet start hitting all these factories.

Clearly presented and very pertinent. Thanks!

It's time that the United States and the European Union give Ukraine full access to Internet over Russia. Absolute this is the only way they're going to stop those
