I used Gaode Maps for maps while I was there!
Personally, I found it easier to use than Baidu Maps 😌
I didn't need any cash, so I didn't exchange any money.
If you need money, there are many Chinese banks in the city, so I recommend exchanging money there 😌

I've also heard that you will need to verify your phone number when paying over 200 RMB with Alipay or Wechat pay, so I recommend bringing a credit card just in case you make a large payment!
