I would have 20 degrees any day rather than sitting in a freezing Scotland wrapped in a blanket. And, no I'm not an eighty year old.

Stayed at the Flora 5 times, cracking hotel, lovely walk ( out the back door ) down past the harbour to the new town and then 3 euros for a taxi from Bluebells back up the hill!

3 degrees glasgow...enjoy the heat

Colder than other years as we've been to Lanzarote a lot in the last 35 years. Weather been a big crazy this year on all the islands but yes 20° is average for January/February. We were on a cruise round the canaries at Christmas and it was only 14° some days. Other years its been sunny and 23/24°!  Disappointing for some ppl but on average the canaries is the best place to be in the winter, unless of course one wants to go to the carribean.
