If they won't keep the places clean that the customers can see, imagine what the places the customers can't see are like!

even the seagulls weren't swooping down for a chip.... that tells you a lot ;)

Born and raised in Cleethorpes. Papas is really for the tourists. If you want great fish and chips in a restaurant setting, go to Steele’s in the Marketplace or Ocean Fish Bar in St Peter's Avenue. Both are just a couple of minutes walk from the pier and so very much better than Papa's

If a restaurant didn’t want free publicity in the day and age they are hiding something. Being dirty is a hallmark of a poorly run establishment. Same for being empty in the middle of the summer. I wouldn’t eat here.

"Did you order chaos?"

The pint pouring 😅

I wouldn’t have even stayed for food having seen the state of the tables!😮

I nearly died watchin that poor lass attempt at pourin a beer...

Very unappetising food .Robbie your brave to eat there as it was so grubby.😵‍💫

The incompetence is next level of the staff.

It’s so sad our British seaside towns are getting so rundown now - although in all fairness when the sun is out the beaches do look lovely 👍

But if you have 500 seats in a place.. employ enough staff to keep it clean.

There's a Papa's chippy in Blackpool that claims all sorts of awards. It's probably the worst chippy I've ever been too. Service was slow and miserable, fish was half-cooked and cold, chips were soggy and pale. It was complete shite.

Been to this chip shop once in one word.. Bloody Expensive!

State of that lager 😂

What a beautiful building but the food really let it down, there no way that was a large haddock and the pie looked so bland. I worked in a restaurant and we had to polish the cutlery, plates, silverware and t-pots until they were shiny. Great and honest review Robbie 💚🇮🇪

I went to Papas in Willerby  (not far from west Hull) a couple of years ago.  It was a Monday evening but I will never again.  The fish was so thin (possibly cut in half horizontally) and the fish was still swimming (but in the grease still on the plate.  Maybe I was unlucky as others I know say the fish is beautiful.

The filth and Chao happens when you employ kids who don't really care, because they're cheap. Also, employing people in managers positions who aren't much older and don't have the experience - again, because they're cheap. See how many locals go there as opposed to trippers. If they close during the winter, you'll know why.

We went to Cleethorpes, Papas was shut, and yes there were glasses and crokery still outside

In the words of Meatloaf "Seagulls will do anything for food but they wont do that".
