Have you ever wanted to make a silicone mould?
Well I have for many years... so I thought what better time then now!
Join me as I make my very first silicone mould. I used an old head ornament made from alabaster of Alexander The Great, to make my mould from. It was all new to me, and although I tried to be clever and cast the head in a rather unusual way, it all turned out alright in the end.
I purchased my silicone from Amazon. If you search on their site for:-
BBDINO Silicone Mould Making Kit 20A for Making, Translucent 21.2 Oz, you'll be able to find it. The packs are available in different sizes, but I went for the small pack to just give it a go.
I also used Hearty air drying clay to then make my cast from my newly made mould.

Some people also deploy a vibrating table to help dislodge bubbles, but you could also improvise by holding any vibrating object you have at home against the container for a few minutes, such as er... well, an electric toothbrush, perhaps?!
Or even sit it on top of the washing machine as it's going through the spin cycle...😳
