Real talk, I can see a high mobility shooter doing well as a remake of this game. Have the Fire Warrior be the dex fighter to the Space Marine's insane strength.

Okay, here is my pitch for a Warhammer shooter: It's a single player story game where you play as a Tau fire warrior. It's kinda like Halo where you fight through different levels and have to pick up your enemie's weapons. BUT: make it good this time. Here's the story

Act 1: You are a Pathfinder who is supposed to do some scouting on an imperial planet you plan on invading. Your unit gets killed and you have to sneak in, find some information, and go to the extraction zone. You have basic weapons, your enemies will be guardsmen.
Act 2: You get promoted to battlesuit pilot and get launched in the invasion. You begin in a Crisis Suit you can customize, but it gets destroyed after some playing around and you are back to picking up small arms. The enemies have stronger units like Ogryn or Tempestus. The fight moves to the center of a hive city where you are about to take the whole thing, when oops, surprise enemy, but this time it's not chaos (again), it's Genestealers!
Act 3: You fight genestealers, it's a tense back and forth, maybe you team up with the guardsmen, maybe there's some drama
Act 4: The tyranid invasion begins and the story goes from invading the planet yourself to getting the fuck outa there. You don't even try to defeat them, you try to save as many as you can and run

The key to this game will be a) different enemy types, this should be easy, you have three whole armies to pick from, b) different weapons, this is also easy, you have everything from pulse carbine to plasma eredicator, and c) a mix of run 'n' gun, stealth kills, and vehicle sections (you have hammerheads, different battlesuits, it shouldn't be hard to find some)

Fire warrior hurts because this is one of the few 40k games where a Xenos is the main character and it's a game where a TAU is a main character I bet this game didn't help how people saw tau

That Scientology threat was the most terrifying.

Sir, a Fire Warrior has hit the steam shop

Well I hope that AoG finally get the rest that he deserves because I'm pretty sure that he is now Guilliman after 1 year since his awakening

I do like how in the novelization Kais is just an absolute meatgrinder of a Firewarrior who hear's whispers from Khrone

Watching the video giggling and telling my friend I find Announcer's pain entertaining and he fires back "And you say you don't identify as Drukari... denial, thy name is Skye..."

28:46 oh my god, that’s why his name is Captain Keyes (halo ce)

At 40K subs will you be remaking Fire Warrior?

Man. Young me getting into Tau at the advent of 5th edition, and finding a video game dedicated to my quickly burning obsession gave me glasses that were so rose tinted I was smelling great for years.

I miss that super power kid me had where I could enjoy a game even when it's objectively bad.

"And now, i have a debt to pay"

That sounds like a mole who shouldn't made a bet in the first place

If I remember correctly, for the boss fights against the chaos dreadnauts, you can run up to them and circle strafe to the right. They cannot turn fast enough to hit you. Tau melee claims another

I would love for a remake of fire warrior just so we could have Kais as the tau equivelent of Malum Caedo, just a fucking beast of a character thats basically a one man army. though they would probably tone down his feats which would suck.

36:57 look man, S10 AP4 damage 3 goes hard

oh wow... those threats at the beginning. holy frijoles...

I guess Fire Warrior was using those Necromunda lasguns.

The intro cinematic is one of the best things of this thing... and it still holds up in its style.

44:31 Man seeing the logos for developers that have since fallen, man that hit me right in my childhood.

This game was my first time ever i encountered ANYTHING about Warhammer 40k, I had and continued to have for a few years after NO knowledge about the WH40K universe... I just thought it was a wierd, awful game.
Some thoughts I remeber having while playing the game, at the time I did not speak english (I am not a native speaker) and I couldn't understand anything beside how to start a new game:
"Oh, I'm playing as an alien against humans"
"Why am I fighting space Nazis?"
"Wow the starting gun is garbage"
"Why is this dude charging me with a sword like a madman?"
"Is that a chainsaw? A chainsaw sword?"
I never even finished the first stage
