This is Lyadov, and today we're heading to one of Georgia's most inaccessible regions.
To get here, we'll have to travel dozens of kilometers along a serpentine mountain road: narrow sections over cliffs, vast gorges, and a road with virtually no room for error.
At the end of this route are remote mountain villages near the Georgian-Russian border. Life here is spent most of the year in near-total isolation: a harsh climate, challenging roads, and hundreds of kilometers from familiar city life.
In this episode, we'll travel this route ourselves and see what life is like in a place where getting there is a challenge in itself.
