I’m not sure what this is supposed to mean. From an outside perspective there is no ‘dark side’. There is only a side which we don’t see from Earth, even if it’s being illuminated. That would be the far side.
But if that’s what is meant, that would be the WORST place to hide anything. That is the side which would be seen most easily from beyond the moons orbit.
I asked AI, just to see if it understood why this phrase is bad. It does. Here is a part of the response:

“Blind Spot” Only Applies to Earth
The Moon only blocks the line of sight for people standing on the surface of the Earth.

• The "hiding" effect vanishes: Depending on the angle of the aliens' approach, the far side of the Moon might be the first thing they see, while the Earth itself remains hidden behind the Moon.
