The blue glaze is crazy this episode

Honestly, seeing Yellow struggle so much against the Brute explains why he's been so reliant on the staff, especially in AvM37. The staff takes his greatest strength, his cool, calculated mind, and essentially turns it into a physical weapon capable of doing anything just by thinking about it. It makes his strongest asset even stronger, and infinitely more capable of attack and defense. Without it, he's still a capable fighter, but nowhere near as potent. Poor guy...

16:02 "Blue is the pacifist because it is for the mercy of the people around him." It's SO Blue, that is literally what Blue is

One thing I noticed about Blue is that he doesn’t like to start fights but when he’s forced into a position where he HAS to fight, he immediately flips a switch. He’s like a “I’m protecting you from me” kind of character

He may be a pacifist, but he can absolutely pass a fist

Something not noticed by Mouchie is how all the Brutes fight. They mimic the aggression of their opponent probably so they can stall for as long as possible.
None of the brutes draw a weapon until their opponent does. Notably, Red's brute never takes out their weapon because Red never uses theirs. The brute only takes out their weapon after chasing Red for several loops, possibly out of frustration since Red stopped running and looked back.

I wonder if Red never took out their weapon because they're pigs.

Green's brute dual weilds right after Green starts doing that.

Blue's brute, similar to Red's, never draws their weapon until during the chase after seeing Blue wait instead of running.

I really like this strategy of theirs since the chase needs to feel as real as possible even though it's meant to stall for as long as possible.

12:43 I never noticed how, technically, Blue can be considered to have escaped the fastest—time-wise, they didn’t, but that’s mostly because of stalling and reluctance to fight out-right, they’re out in less than a minute once they decide to get serious

Blue may be a peacemaker first but there’s a brutal fighter underneath, I love how you recognize that <3

For someone who gets over-stimulated from these fights its great to have someone discuss them in detail and stay on track.

Thanks

25:36 i think red was trying to go for like, a sneak attack? his train of thought was probably something like "haven't seen the piglin for a while now... did he somehow get ahead, and is waiting on the other side of one of these beacons to ambush me? in that case, i'll throw my axe in and catch him by surprise"
which is clever on red's part! it just so happened the piglin WASN'T actually waiting, at least not at that specific beacon

8:39 “Committing the Sayori” is diabolical

I did this on the real video a couple weeks ago! The Parkour escape section is so interesting to study!

You can see how similar but unique they each are in their responses to getting blocked off. Red and Green do almost the same casual-feint at the same time, and Blue tries a similar trick later. Red is the first to get physical but never pulls a sword. Orange pulls the sword first, followed by Yellow and Green simultaneously. Green is the only one to use two swords. Blue tries for a long time to just peacefully step around the guard and only resorts to violence when he cant outsmart the guard.
Yellow, Blue and Orange all use the same trick to hide under the blocks during the chase, but Blue seems to be the only one to time the Piglin’s loop so he knows when to duck. Red is seemingly the least agile at parkour and gets caught the most often, while Blue has quite some distance between him and the guard and stops running after a while. And, obviously, Green is the only one to even think of using blocks to escape and is the first to find a way out, and Orange and Yellow each have their unique ways of escaping that showcase their ways of thinking. Yellow looks for the mechanics to exploit, Orange uses creative and unconventional techniques to glitch the system, and Green is very practical in using his inventory to his advantage. Im sure the others would have found a way out eventually too.

I think it's very notable that Red is the last one to get past his Piglin Brute, but he's the only one to do so without needing to draw a weapon or pull some acrobatic trick. He prefers hand-to-hand and he's very stubborn once he puts his mind to something, so he's just going to keep getting back up and attacking until he gets past.

11:18 I think the reason why yellow was overpowered so easily here is because he is using reverse grip which has put his arm in a horrible position to hold. Instead of using his body weight if he had attack with his sword from above he is using his sword from below letting the puglin brute leverage his body weight to completely overpower yellow.  I love my detail alan becker's videos have

Something I notice is that all the Stick Figures notices about the loop except for Red

As you can see, Red is just running away neck in neck by the Piglin

As for Green, he already escapes before finding out the loop

i think it'd be so awesome if they released like, a "bonus" episode type deal, where it's JUST all the new animation segments they made for real time

need to comment my favorite thing of this which is that you can see the difference on their strenght when they all tried to do the long jump (where the stone blocks is far in the middle), ive noticed that red is the only one who manages to jump really far like he didnt struggle at all meanwhile orange and blue seems to be in the same boat as they are able to reach the stone but need proper momentum and i think thry never really step on the stone immediately like red but instead just flopped to it?? meanwhile yellow is the one who struggle alot with the long jump as he keep stepping back for more momentum and yet he barely reaches the stone

6:50 Green and Yellow pull out their swords at the same time
8:40 he what😭
Yellow is struggling

One thing that makes sense to me in theory, is that Red is the best fist fighter, but as we see here, he is overpowered a lot. I'd like to say, because he is the 'Animal lover' of the group, although he's willing to fight, he holds back because he really doesn't want to do lasting or more harmful damage. Kinda like Blue, but lest pacifist and more hesitant. Because, we see that as his patience grows more and more thin, he begins to care less about being careful, until it snaps and he just ends it quickly because he's fed up with getting ragdolled and all that. Of course, that could just be me lol... (Edit: Yeah, I went back, and he always went for stunning brute force attacks that'd be more dizzying than damaging, or sneaks to get by, never throwing an unnecessary punch, just enough to try to get him by. Until he had enough. Even the Piglin brute was a little surprised as red most likely glared at him after getting ragdolled once again. And then, red went all in, not caring about hurting him as he set his mind fully on the goal of getting out.

Blue’s a pacifist until you give him a reason to pass-a-fist(I know it’s bad, shush)

I absolutely love this type of content analysis, both frame-by-frame fight scenes and deeper dive to inner motive. And I love how you don't define them just by one dimensional qualities like “oh he fights good” or “he's the best one at this period” and give each of them a stage to shine. It hurts me to see some people don't distinguish between them or only in it to watch their favourites do something cool. For me, it's the details that make this enjoyable.

Btw, on the subject of Yellow being the one struggling the most, which falls into the archetype of an engineer having weaker physique, something tells me that he might also be the one to love cleanliness the most out of all 5. He has the habit of dusting himself off after crossing realms or while catching his breath after a fight. Like the first time he entered the lucky block realm and in hardcore manhunt, after they escaped to the surface (there's another one in the AvM, which I'll find when I do my 20th rewatch). This is sort of not a stereotypical engineer behavior as they tend to be okay with messy, but it's certainly worthy giving a thought. I wonder if we can find some small habits in others as well. It'll for sure be interesting to know!

I actually love these analysis videos so much, it's a different from all the reactions from many many reactors, you actually acknowledge, every nook and cranny about every frame and animation and I respect that !! I support !!
