Discerning factors can only occur in the absence of influence,,, what most don't seem to notice is the smaller the world gets due to advances in communication transport and media the more convergent populations get, thus far less discerning factors occur as a result,,,

This suggests that fashion is more so representative of to what degree any given population is steadily becoming in more ways similar than they are different, because choice should be by this stage more saturated than at any other point in human history....but that saturation of choice doesn't seem to be reflective of options chosen because we seem to prefer what we know is more universally accepted and we have developed a taste for anything common place...

Not to far in the past discernment was clearly noticeable between towns villages and cities now you'd struggle to see the same across an entire country or two...
