One of the most real and genuine people on the internet. He's not a put on for subscribers. He just genuinely enjoys teaching people. Dave's a great guy.

It's always a good day when Dave uploads a video 🥰

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and Nick.  Thanks for another year of fun and family friendly content.

“You know how I am. I can’t stay out of dumpsters.” Too funny 😂😂😂😂

I get the impression that you aren't doing this in order to get millions of subscribers and the mega-bucks. It seems like you do it, just because you enjoy it, and want to pass on the knowledge you have about enjoying the outdoors, and basic survival skills.

That's awesome!

I truly appreciate the fact that you don't try to make videos the OPTIMAL length, and all that. When I watch most videos from similar channels, they're typically informative, but have a sterile feel; like "Dragnet."

"Just the facts, ma'am."

Your videos have an organic, friendly, and almost familial feel. It's less like an instructor, and more like camping with a buddy or the FUN uncle, lol.

I really enjoy that. 👍

Dave, always respect and love your videos. Been a fan for a LONG Time. Please keep up your relaxing, expert, informative videos in your relaxed, friendly style. You are a Gem on You Tube .

From my experience outdoors and as a member of 2 SAR groups, freezing rain and wind is more deadly than snow. Thanks for an excellent video, Dave. Happy Holidays and All the Best .

After 2 years not being able to watch your videos ( I'm now a mom of a 2 year old bandit) I'm finally here learning a lot.
Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾 ❤

Thank you, Dave!
Merry Christmas to all  you folks!

Absolutely love your channel!! You present so much useful information! Plus you make it fun! Thx so much

You are The Dude Dave. Enthusiasm, knowledge, and really living it all makes you numero uno in my book. And the humor.... All the best to you and yours . Keith in Europe.

I'd like to take the time out right now just to remember one of our great friends who passed away a few years ago.
Mr. Megawoodswalker. What an absolute Chad. I really miss the Victorinox sales.
RIP MEGA🙏🙏🙏

It's so good to see you are able to get outside.  You must be getting such a workout!  Thanks for sharing, Dave.  Always so happy to see your videos pop up.

It‘s a very authentic outdoor activity, simple and unpretentious.

I grew up in Mableton, It snowed once and we had all them ice storms in the 70's.
My wife won't let me in the dumpster, I just don't tell her anymore.

Wow...! I love the idea of saving time and effort, by simply installing zippers on my boots! The attention to details concerning protecting our trees during repetitive hammock setups was thoughtful. Bringing along that enormous tripod was well worth the effort. It had a way of truly exploiting the angle of your comfort! Thanks for bring us along.
Best wishes to you and yours for this holiday season! & sending out a special heyhoo to Nick 🤠

Really enjoyed this one Dave. Thanks for taking the time to pack everything and then unpack it and then pack it all up again. Your effort really shows. The overview camera shots were awesome 👏👏.  Y’all have a very Merry Christmas.

Look forward to your videos Dave-so down-to-earth. You actually developed your own, highly variable light-weight modular sleep system w/ your last set-up. I didn't realize that I had done that also because true weather often does not agree w/ the weatherman! You nailed it w/ your statement: "You want to have options". There's nothing worse than having NO options when you really need them. Thank you Dave.

There are people that throw away perfectly good stuff. One man's trash being another man's treasure.

Still the best bushcraft content  after many years...i hate cramping in the cold 😅
