Correction 15:14 - the L10 uses a leaf shutter just like the Fuji X100VI

I have an L10, and it definitely has a leaf shutter. It's quiet and can flash sync up to 1/2000th.

I do think the L10 is best for first-time users or beginners, as it allows them to learn camera language and focal lengths. Cameras with fixed lenses, like the X100 or GR, are more suited to experienced users who want an EDC camera or probably alreay have an A cam.

I went for the L10 instead of the X-E5. Although the Fuji is way more stylish, the compact-zoom and wide Aperture of the L10 are my favs, specially as an everyday-beginner cam to take photos of my three year old child.
