Milind Safai Smriti Puraskar’ conferred upon veteran theatre artist and actor Yogesh Shirsat

At the inauguration ceremony of Jigisha Natyashala, veteran theatre artist and actor Yogesh Shirsat was honoured with the Milind Safai Smriti Puraskar.

While responding to the honour, Yogesh Shirsat spoke candidly about his journey and the struggles that shaped his career.

“Wherever there is a Marathi person, Jigisha has reached there. I have always enjoyed the struggles in my life. There was a time when I even had to sleep on the streets, but today, I am reaping the rewards of that struggle.”

He also urged students to think for themselves about their theatre education and what they need to do to build their future. Learning from struggles and continuing to make consistent efforts will certainly bring positive results, he said.
