You join me for a 1pm start on a winter fishing trip on a small river where I'm headed out to fish for chub. Armed with bread, cheese paste, maggots and worms and a Link ledger. The river had not long come off a severe flood warning and was receding, so what better time is there to head out and see if those Brassy ghosts would be willing to feed? It would turn out to be a very special trip and an example of why I love putting time into fishing small rivers, unearthing those magical fishing moments.

Tactics - free running Link ledger
Tackle - Rod Darent Valley 8ft specialist quiver tip rod
Baits - Maggots - Worms - Bread - Cheese Paste
